To people that wish to attend.... please add your name accordingly.
Also, If you have a sale thread... link it next to your name. That should make it easy on people wanting to sell or buy parts at the meet. people can negotiate now, work out the details, and bring the parts to the event.

At the last meet we had a lot of donations for pizza, drinks, etc. Unfortunately there were people in the crowd that decided to steal whole pizzas for themselves and whatnot. That really wasnt fair to people that chipped in. Although, we did have numerous pizza deliveries throughout the day it's up to the individual to get in line with a plate.
I vote for BYOF. (Bring your own Food)

sounds like an awesome plan.

I vote for BYOF. Some people don't have respect and steal food, this way if you don't bring **** you expletive yourself over.

onit71 (Tino) suggested calling a Roach Coach. I think that could be a good idea. Also... calling an Ice Cream man too.

Re: Annual Griffith Park EF Meet - Saturday June 7th, 2008 (STREETWERKZ)
As I've said before; If Bryce (crx2nr822) is involved, I'd be willing to help out and talk to the Head Park Ranger.
What was that last location? "Merry-go-round Lot 4"?
To be more specific about that "stealing a pizza" thing; The guy that took it may have contributed to buying food. Due to not knowing who it was, I can't say. What happened is that somebody wasn't willing to wait as I handed out pizza slices and just took a whole one. When all was said and done, everybody got as much as they wanted!
I'm not willing to put pizza purchases on my credit card this time, although I thought the concept a good one. The bitch is not really knowing how many people are going to show up, and the number of people contibuting isn't a good judge on how much to buy.
I'd love to see Bryce (crx2nr822) do an other Carne Assada BBQ, but that's a lot of work for him at the meet. This means he doesn't get to wander around. (I think he is burnt out on the idea, having already done it several times) The only way this could be done and be fare is to have at least three different guys working BBQ's. (So, you think you and your crew know how to BBQ? Step up and show it!!)
How about this as an idea; Order up a big time order from Kentucky Fried Chicken to be picked up at 1:00 pm? Half of the order "meals with side orders" and the rest just buckets. The size of the order is something like 50% of the contributions. (the remainder for drinks or what ever) If there isn't enough, tuff. There should be somebody handing out food so that the first person in line doesn't just take an unfair amount (has to come back for seconds). Although parking spaces can not be reserved, who ever does the food run would have a space saved for his return. A big guy keeps an eye out (for pizza thiefs).

A mobile-"diner". I guess you could call it.
They make burgers, burritos, sell drinks, cookies, etc. Commonly seen in industrial parks and construction sites for the workers.
I do think this would be the EASIEST thing to do. We'll make a phone call, tell them when to show up, and I'm sure anyone that wants to eat will know to come running. It'll be less of a hassle for everyone. But's that is just my opinion. Bryce's carne asada was damn good a few years back!!!

I like the idea of the coach. It involves virtually no planning. It allows whoever wants food to get it. No one can complain if they don't get any. No one has to be in charge of cooking or handing out food.

Hey Jeff, you might want to update your list to the current one in the first post. Yours is different now due to people that didn't add themselves to the list. You know someone is going to quote yours and then the list will be off.
