if that is your real age in your profile, the best bet would be a sales person that gets paid hourly + commission. Unless your super smart and already have a degree, sales is your best bet. I was working as a Store manager for a cell phone store and was making about 46k-50k a year only because of commission. Not saying that you don't have any experience but it would be better to list your experience to better assist you. Asking for $20 an hour and not knowing what your qualifications are is difficult to say.

past tense doesn't make it present. however, make sure you look at the opportunity of your new position being equally as valuable as well. You want to be able to continue moving up instead of starting over every so often.
Good Luck.

Sometimes I think school is overrated because all the loans you going to be taken out to pay off your classes (Unless your super smart and have plenty of scholarships to pay for you). I know some people who has a Doctor degree but have to pay like 300K+ for loans and on the 30 yr plan I guess it'll pay in the long run but school these days are way overpriced (Books, parking, Tuition, and ETC)

Imo, it depends what industry you want to go in. Sometimes school will be necessary (doctor, lawyer) and sometimes, it's not; for example being a web developer/marketer, it makes more sense to get out early and just gain experience working with a web startup or whatever. In this field, experience > education.
But, without that piece of paper, you will have a salary ceiling, unless you're an entrepreneur.
