This is for Memphis-Millington, TN area folks.

First, the introduction. I am in the U.S. NAVY, stationed at Navy Personnel Command in Millington, TN. I am part of the Navy Personnel Command 10th Anniversary committee. The 10th anniversary celebration will be from 2-4 October 2004, but important date is Saturday, October 4th. There will be live Bands (Rebirth & NAVY Band), picnic, car show (display), and carnival at Navy Lake in Millington, TN. Yes, car show! The Saturday event at Navy Lake, and Glen Eagle Golf Course performance by Navy Band is open to public. That means everyone! We need more cars out there on Saturday. I am asking all the car clubs to come out and show your cars. No entry fee, and no trophies. Just bring your car to show it off.

Again, this event is open to public. Bring your car for the car show, and/or just come out and enjoy.

Part of the big fun event at Navy Lake will have flight simulator too. Want to fly Navy jet? Navy Recruit will have flight sim for you to try out. Of course, there are many and many other fun things including live band. Car show is part of the huge event, and we need Imports. Bring out the young age groups.

NP, thanks for bringing your car. There is no entry fee. Car show is just one of the event, and it is to bring people out there and to show your car(s). Unfortunately, due to no entry fee, there is no prizes from the US NAVY. However, the local car club who will be showing up may do their prizes. Lastly, Price Ford (a local car dearship) will be bring their cars, including GT500 convertible. If there are any other cars you would like to see from Price Ford, I can ask.

FYI, one other note: Remember Tommy (USS Kitty Hawk sailor) from Nashville Star? He'll be performing with the NAVY Band on our 10 Year Celebration.

Another update from our last meeting before the upcoming event. We will be regulating parking. For those of you who will be bringing cars to the car show/display, you will need to have parking pass. Just let me know if you need parking pass. If not, don't worry. Myself and another individual will be at the south entrance all morning to hand out the parking pass for those bringing cars for the car show/display. Again, this is free event. NO ENTRANCE FEE.

If you have kids who love riding carnival rides, bring them. The rides at the event will be free. They can ride all they want, and much more fun things to do.
