Raised the hatch up 1/2" to get it to 1" below stock height (looking for a better ride quality out of it), installed a new rear motor mount, got the OEM 91 Si rear section fitted up properly so she now purrs like a stock kitten:

Anyone know which OEM torque mounts work for a EF with a Z6 swap? Rear mount helped but it still could use the torque mounts. I really would rather not go with a set of Innovatives as I would not like them that stiff.

Now I have to save up for a "new" stock style harness to cure the broken wires to the CYP+ and IACV+...

She has some "free play" from front to back. Old rear mount was all cracked and torn. I guess I am going to try and install the OEM front mount back in it to help with that issue. Seems as if it should work being it bolts to the tranny and I am using a Si cable tranny.

During the mount replacement the fawking VSS cable came loose from the tranny. I am going to fix that tomorrow along with sourcing a new shift linkage seal for the tranny to cure the fluid drip here and there. I get her squared away with the mounts and fluid drip I will be moving on to the harness.

Travis is it jerky when you release the throttle and get back in it an at cruising throttle sometimes? I don't understand why you're stiffening it up. My sedan had the problem I described until I repaired the IACV wiring. Now it's smooth. Just gotta replace my o2 sensor.

Wish I could help. I've only got one obd1 b series dizzy and I've got to use trial and error on all my spare parts to put a working one back together. You don't have to use a vtec one unless you're just **** about using all the bolts for it. I use an ls dizzy on my GSR with one of the arms cut off.

Yeah, I'm really looking for a vtec one, which I know is harder to come by, but I'm a little overly OCD about things like that. Especially since the one on my single cam puked oil constantly from being a "made to work" distributor.

Don't blame you. I am too, with most things. FYI, I've never had an oil leak with mine but I also replaced the o-ring/seal on the shaft on mine. Works great

Yeah, mine was a y8 dizzy on a z6 head, totally different mounting point but the top bolt lined up and held in place (being the only one out of the three) and the ignition timing was correct so I just ran it for a long time. Finally ended up buying a z6 dizzy like 6 months before I sold the motor...

Def IACV related jerking. As I have spoke of before, I have tried 3-4 different IACVs (one purchased from a forum member known to be working) with no luck. I have a broken wire either in the engine harness or in the conversion harness. I hope to soon be replacing the engine harness.

How did you repair the wires? Run new ones from IACV->shock tower plugs then from shock tower plugs->ECU?

here you go
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-IGNITION...item25623542a6

They have a standard, heavy duty, and "Dragon Fire Race" (whatever that is). The standard one is the the one that would throw a CYP code after a month or so. On the second one i returned, i upgraded to the heavy duty and haven't had a single problem. They are about $30 higher now then when i got it, though. Anyway, they all have warranty's and their customer service is awesome.

Dragon Fire must be worth 10+ hp!

Anyone local with a good, working OBD0 alternator? Mine took a dump on me in the hatch and I don't have the funds for a rebuild

Quite surprised this thread is still around since everyone has moved, married, kids, ect. Anyways if any of you still lurk that I don't talk to I bought another one. Couldn't pass the deal. Except out of all of the builds and stuff I'm finally taking a crack at a SOHC. Has a built head, stuffing pistons and rods into another block and toss a little turbo kit on it.

Should hold me over until I can save for the build Malcom and I are about to start working on.
