Re: AUSTIN TX import scene
Well to be fair I had help , and unfortunatley neither of us work for that company anymore so we dont have the vans . But I do work at Sterling Autobody now and I have to say they are the most thorough and picky body shop I've worked for. oh and let me know if you do start your own site.

Re: AUSTIN TX import scene
I'm personally not a fan of sterling. they damaged my car while it was in getting work done, and then denied the damage they made. I work in the collision industry here in town as well.
the import scene seems alright though. ijust moved here like a year ago. apparently there is a decent shop up north called like soul speed or something ? and i know the guys down at 5Star up on N.Lamar. all really really cool guys.

Re: AUSTIN TX import scene
No offence to the Tyrone comment but i for my self have known his since i used to **** green and knew nothing about the austin/import scene and i for one know he is no crook. i once used to work with him not to get paid but just to simply learn from him and i can vouce he is not a theif. I would rather say to research and look more deep in to a situation before calling any one a thief of what the news called "chop shop" lmfao Texas is bad but we are no where near Cali to "chop shops" . The issue was dealt with and proper convictions were made and leason learned. If it was not for all the non working freebie loving junkies that used to leach off him and just swarm around his shop like mall rats he would"ve been very well off .

Since my brother will be back and out of the Marine Corps this summer (boot ), he'll be helping me organize the Annual July 4th Meet/Cruise that we've done in past years. Didn't have time to set it up this past year but we've had great turnouts in years past.

Re: AUSTIN TX import scene
I heard about the whole Tyrone thing years ago. From what I heard, it was a few creeps that were renting space in his shop.... who knows. He diagnosed a problem with my car after the whole incident when he was working at a repair shop. I figure my car would have been jacked a long time ago if he were a thief. The guy knows his stuff and my car is fixed. To me, he seemed like a good guy that got screwed.
