i just order my jdm dc header. I was wondering if theres anyway i could tell just by looking at it if they are the jdm ones not the regular ones "like such as the tag on them where it says dc does it say jdm also".

Is that not enough to see if it's JDM when it arrives to you?

 

USDM is 2" not 2.25"

 

and JDM/OEM is more like 2.4"

What other distinctions are you looking for? The only visible differences between a standard USDM DC 4-1 and a DC JDM 4-1 are the lack of a CARB badge and a different collector. There may be subtle differences in the bends of the tubing (doubtful, though I never thought to compare the two other than confirming that the tubing is equal in diameter) but there are no other discernible differences.

EDIT: A sure-fire way to be certain it is the JDM version is to try to install it with the stock cat.

Also when you get the DC Sports box there is gonna be some whack piece of paper saying that because it's a "JDM" 4-1 header that its not legal. Yeah and like everyone else said, pull out the measuring tape and measure the collector.

Collector is 2.5" and, like ill said, there will be an ID/instruction sheet enclosed in the packaging stating that it is the DC JDM 4-1.

haha...i got the stickers then promptly put them onto my friends civic. yea it comes w/ the paper, (w/ install instructions) which say " WILL NOT FIT USDM CAT."
