Civic smoking from turbo/exhaust
Hello,
I have a d16y7 with a turbo kit. The equal length turbo manifold I bought with the kit was cracking in just about every place you could imagine. So I bought a cheap cast manifold for the mean time. After installing this manifold, and rerouting my downpipe and oil drain line, I started the car and noticed smoke coming from the exhaust(was running just fine before I parked it) it is super noticeable when the car starts to warm up and the throttle opens. I opened up the intercooler piping and downpipe and theres oil on both sides. I’m pretty lost as all I did was swap manifolds, and now the turbo is smoking, if anyone has any suggestions for tests I should do lmk, as of now I’m going to take off the turbo, clean the oil out of it, reroute the return line and see if that solved the problem. So far all I have done was rented a compression tester to see if my rings were shot, showed solid numbers.
appreciate any opinions/ suggestions in advance
