Hi guys I was looking to buy a Honda crz for commuting short distances (school,friends). I am more interested in the sporty looks and manual transmission than anything else. Thing is, I dont know anything about hybrid cars and how reliable they are (Honda is usually a safe bet but again the hybrid thing is new to me). So I wanted to get you guyss opinions on the car, I found a couple rust spots and am quite worried.

I would not buy a used Hybrid, the battery replacement cost is $$$. The DC-DC conv, all the other hybrid related electrical if fails will take time to figure out. It's not like you will have another car to pull parts off to test. Because of all this the Hybrid resale value should be terrible, it's very hard to sell a used hybrid unless it's very cheap.

Plus it has rust. Just get yourself a gas civic, plenty good on gas and easy and cheap to fix.
