New Cv Axle now car won't go into gear Help!!!
Hello I just recently bought a New CV Axle as the original one broke. And it's beyond repair. I went to oreilys and bought an Import Direct CV Axle for my passenger side. It was put in correctly. As I had help from a buddy who went to school for cars. It popped into place just fine. Seems to be in their very good. I jacked car up. And moved the tire and it seems to be in their fine as well. After starting car up.
When I go to put it in any gear the car won't move when put into any gear. Their is a new clutch and fly wheel. And I didn't have any issues driving it b4. We took it apart and put it in and when it fine. Still same thing. It did leak a lot of trans fluid when I replaced it. So I'm kinda of thinking I maybe need to top of the trans fluid? But I'm not sure tbh. If any one could give me some ideas I appreciate it. It's a 2002 honda accord ex. 2.3l 5 speed manual. Also I didn't even need to put clutch down and the gear box moved freely. So either new axle is problem or I just need to top off trans fluid again?

As stated above. It's a 5 speed manual. Aka stick shift. Like I said gear box feels loose. Can really move it on all gears I pop it into besides reverse.

I've took it off and on twice. It has locked both times to where it'll basicly won't move. Could it be I righted the bolt to tight or ? What maybe? Cause I'm stumped.

While I've never personally run into this issue, it does seem to be at least somewhat common in the Honda world, "The axle seems to be firmly in place; car doesn't move..."

Ok so I pushed my car up a little. And i took it for a test drive. My gear box was working normal. But when I stop it becomes really loose. But I can move in forward. Kinda sounds like it's dying. Like it's missing. Then when I get up in rpms it deivals normal so far I ca tell . But theirs still vibrating bad

How did it break or what caused its failure?
Axles usually don't break unless there is massive power or some kind of bending load induced into the axle stub ends.

Lower ball joint broke. Back up 5 feet slowly. And it snapped. Had a shop put in the the first one. A shitty auto zone duralast. And was complete ****. Shop said they inspected it transmission teeth was fine. Etc etc but these local garages suck. And denied to fix it. Said they couldn't help. The axles will always do that to the car. But dam. I replaced it. Again. And now I'm just confused. On what the he'll is going on. Cause at times it feels like gear box gets really loose. And could move gears with out touching clutch. Then some times it re tightens. It's weird

If the axle length is too short it can pull the inner joint out of the case in droop. But this would not affect shifting, only power output.
Check the top of the transmission where the shift cables attach to the transmission shift linkage, it may be that after the clutch install something was not properly tightened down.
How long ago was the clutch/flywheel installed?
When you shift gears without the clutch, is there still power to the wheel with no crunching/grinding?
How close is the axle to the transmission case? Sometimes the axles can be a ***** to properly seat. They can be installed so that they engage the spline but are not fully seated which could allow some weirdness in drivability and shifting. I've had the axles get weird because the spirolock for the inner axle has either lost it's spring load and can be easily compressed so it pops in/out of the differential. And I've had another break the circlip which then allowed the axle to slide in/out of the differential.
As for axles, I have used Cardone(NEW) and never had a problem with them. Rebuilt axles can be pretty sketch unless you know the CV joints and tripod bearings were replaced.

If it feels like the wheel is going to come off, that sounds like something else.
Recheck that the suspension components are properly tightened.
Verify the wheel bearing does not have excessive play.
Verify that the stub axle nut was properly torqued to 181lbft.
Lower BJ should be 40lbft, upper BJ and outer tie rod should be 32lbft.
Verify the inner tierod was not damaged and has extra clearance on that side. Raise the car, lock the steering column and try to steer the wheel by hand. If there is clunking/clicking when trying to turn left/right then the inner tie rod may be sloppy.
Verify the drop link is not broken or disconnected.
Verify that the lug nuts are properly torqued to spec 80lbft.
Verify the tire is properly inflated, check door sticker for PSI(COLD) I think its either 32 or 34PSi.
Verify wheels/tires are all the same size, or at least the front pair and rear pair are a matching set.
