Default Bronze TE37 discoloration help

Hi. I got a set of bronze Te37s from 2008 that have been in the sun a lot. Looked around online and couldn't find anyone with experience on this. Does anyone know if it's a clear coat or something that has gone off? Some people say it may be anodised and can't be fixed.

looks like a paint adhesion issue, the paint is worn away. I would have them bead blasted and painted the colour of your choice, not powdercoated, just primer, paint, and clearcoat from a reputable wheel refinishing shop.

Thanks for replying,
However i'm getting mixed information online saying these wheels are anodized and not painted etc.
I did spray some clearcoat on them yesterday and it seemed a little bit better. It brang back the shine.
I'm guessing volk used a tinted clearcoat.

The bronze is an anodized color, so they'll need to be either painted, powder coated, or re-anodized to get a complete finish.

Yes, that's what I would have said as well. Read up on powdercoating of Volk wheels before going down that road - I have no dog in the hunt yet, and can't figure out if it's a real problem to get them powdercoated or not. I just got some CE28 CRs and am not a fan of the charcoal with the machined silver stripe around the outside of them, so I may be looking into painting/powdercoating on them when the car's in storage again in the winter.
