1991 Honda Civic wont start.
1991 Honda Civic 4 door Sedan. 1.5L and 5 speed manual transmission. I went to start it up three days ago it fired up idled for maybe 5 minutes then died. Would not start after that. Checked for fuel. Got it. Checked for spark did not have it. Troubleshot back to distributor and replaced. I now have spark. Still will not run. Timing is good. Compression is around 120 PSI plus or minus 3PSI on all 4 cylinders. It will crank but no start. I had an extra known good main relay laying around changed it. No change still will not start. I took off all stock air intake. Nothing. Anyone have any suggestions.

Check grounds (mainly thermostat), are you getting any check engine codes? Might try some starting fluid, if it starts with starting fluid and dies then you've got a fuel problem. If it doesn't start with starting fluid you might still have a spark/timing problem. Couldn't hurt to double check your the timing on your timing belt - they've been known to jump a tooth or two before.

No it will not start with starting fluid. I have double and triple checked timing. I have checked wiring diagram for spark plugs to distributor. Idk. I feel like i am missing something simple. I will check for ground. Also it is not throwing a check engine light or any codes

Have you verified that you have spark on all 4 spark plug wires? And is the spark any particular color? Yellow/Orange or Blue? Also, have you verified that the rotor is turning when you crank the engine - I've seen cams snap before. Did you have to put a new cap and rotor on or did it come with them? I believe the obd0 distributors are able to get the rotor on backwards (180 degrees off, but usually that will cause a backfire issue).

Yes all plugs were verified. Idk on color will get back to you tonight. I did not replace caps or cables. Yes i verified rotor spinning. I bought the MAS Ignition Distributor TD-01U. Color looks white blue when cranking

Timing photos. The lower pulley is lined up with the middle mark could not get good photo.
Lower pulley. Not camshaft pulley. Pointer lines up to middle line.

For timing you should be using the single mark to the left of those 3. With that lined up the lines on cam pulley should line up flat where the head and valve cover meet up.

It looks like both will be going the same direction, so it could still be on, but the horizontal lines on the cam gear should be perfect straight with the top of the head and the lower as I explained before. I would line up the bottom one and see how the cam gear looks.
