Battery Drains - Need Help Please
Hello there,
I have a 1990 Honda Civic Dx & when I leave it off for too longer than a few hours, the battery drains and I have to jump start the car to get it started. I had the battery replaced to a new one and the battery lasted a total of two and a half days to completely die. I jumpstarted my car and ever since then I have just been disconnecting the battery when the car is going to be off for long periods of time. I had the alternator checked and that is good too. Any suggestions as to what it can be? Thank you for your time.

Does the battery light work when you first turn on the ignition? Are all of your power and ground wires clean? Any aftermarket wiring or stereos?
You likely have a parasitic drain somewhere. There are quite a few youtube videos on how to check what circuit is causing it. Here's one:
TL;DW: You can isolate which circuit by connecting a multimeter or ammeter in series with the battery negative terminal and the negative battery wire. Then you remove and replace fuses one by one until the current draw goes down significantly. Don't turn the car or the lights on unless you want to instantly blow a multimeter fuse. An ammeter might survive, however, I don't recommend it unless you know what you're doing.

Re: Battery Drains - Need Help Please
battery drain is commonly due to the door mounted seat belts. diagnose or just disconnect the connector at the door. i think its just a sensor, but not affect emergency operation if disconnected.

The battery light works during ignition like normal. There was an aftermarket radio; however, that changed when the car was unfortunately stolen and stripped of the speakers and radio it once had. I have also noticed that it started doing that after the robbery. I am going to take my car to my uncle (a mechanic) this weekend to ask him to do that check. Thanks for your time!

I also had a problem with the seathelt sensor going off when I was driving and had my seatbelt on. It would ring unceasingly until I disconnected the beeping box (forgot what it was called). Aha thanks for your time!
