Connecting pipe oring replacement (water pump side)
So I have this coolant leak for the last month. I’ve tried sanding the hole and replacing the oring multiple times and it’s still leaking.
With the OEM o-ring it’s a bit oversized so whenever I try to install it the ring gets pinched and since it’s such a tight squeeze I can’t use both hands.
Advancd auto o ring fits perfect but gives me a slow leak :/
i replaced the pipe pipe as well
so frustriting i don’t know what to do.
seems like an easy fix but I’m pulling my head out with this.

put what fits and put RTV glue around the oring. works everytime
the oring that is too big...try out putting it on your pipe then in a freezer for a few hours to shrink...

so I’ll have all the hoses disconnected from the thermostat housing. The breather box will be disconnected as well. I’ll slide the water pump side in first and then it ends up getting pinched from the side of the block, each time.

You haven't even given details on the engine or car, love the guess work...
Clean up the area where the water log goes in very well, install big o-ring on water log, lub water log with coolant (drench it), lube up the opening where the water log goes in (I added this step in), slide the water log into the opening and rock it up and down while putting force onto it to get it in. thermostat housing same way.
