Default Adaptive cruise control problem

After years of satisfactory performance the ACC function on my Honda Accord suddenly ceased to work. After driving about a mile on a fairly straight road the warning light for ACC LKAS would come on and the function would cease to work. The garage suggested a bump to the front badge was the problem but I was not aware of one.

Start by scanning for codes.

The garage tried that and found nothing out of the ordinary. Of course the warning light wasn't on when they did the test as it only comes on after driving for a bit in a more or less straight line.

I suggest trying another "garage"

A scanner with the ability to access the ACC module or body module(off hand I dont know where the data resides) is needed.

Additionally, youre than likely are going to have to leave the vehicle to have it checked, since the issues is intermittent, and seems to be out of the scope of your capabilities/tooling.
