Re: BIG Boost D16y8 build - ARP 1/2 head stud question

My bottom end was built, turbo'd and tuned already but, I used Nippon pistons. Cast pistons that I should have avoided. The timing jump was my fault; I just swapped my stock cam to a comp cam and did...

Re: BIG Boost D16y8 build - ARP 1/2 head stud question

I can't say much about the max range the OEM gasket would fail but, I've heard of them being used for respectable numbers. As for the JE issue, that's not on all of them. You may just get the unlucky...

Re: BIG Boost D16y8 build - ARP 1/2 head stud question

Also wanna add that if you're looking for 550whp and up, you'll want larger injectors than 1000cc.. If you're trying on pump gas, I hope you have 93 octane or better available. Otherwise, you'll need...

Re: BIG Boost D16y8 build - ARP 1/2 head stud question

Not for D-series. **Majority** of head lift issues stem from block threads giving out or head studs not properly torqued to begin with. Standard ARP studs will work just fine for the D. As for the...

Re: BIG Boost D16y8 build - ARP 1/2 head stud question

Ditch the Y8 head and get a Z6 head for these power levels or you're looking at about another wallet full of cash in port work to get ya there. Y8 is good low to mid, Z6 is good for top end. 550...

Re: AZ_CIVIC'S Build, Testing Things, ETC.

The full shebang; control arms, camber kits, etc. If it has to do with suspension, fill me in! Also, your coilovers.. They adjustable dampening? 24 way, 32 way, etc?

Your car is more suited to...

Re: Troubleshooting: 95 Prelude H23/H22 - Map sensor error?

Yup, it could be the ECU itself. I had a TPS and MAP error code when I changed out the old ones and then dug into the wiring.. It all checked fine until it came down to the ECU. Replaced that and...

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

Nice! I'm having a different issue as well and regardless of what duty cycle I set, I'm only seeing 15-16 psi. **shrug** the BBG is kicking my ass. Lol!

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

I may give up the BBG for now til I get a lighter spring.
I'm working with a range of 13-21 psi

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

My only critique on this routing would simply be length of the hose from the solenoid to the gate. If placement is good and the hoses won't get pinched, roll with it, but the length would be **my**...

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

Good info there, thanks! I've pulled my head out of my ass and turned on my live graphing and monitored my PWM. 0% is gate pressure and 100% is max boost. At 75% duty, I get 16 psi. So now I've gotta...

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

So max boost, I should have vacuum from port 2 going to the top wg?

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

Yeah, it was me. I have it plumbed properly, I just didn't look at the port number positions. Lol! I have my reference in at 1, tee to bottom wg, port 2 to top wg, port 3 is little muffler thingy.

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

Ok, I got to google some info and it is a normally closed solenoid. (I didn't have much time to mess with it yesterday aside from wiring and making sure it worked).

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

That boost valve looked kinda crazy in the first pic and then looked super clean installed. Talk about optical illusion. Lol!
All looking fantastic!

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

ECU came in today! Plugged it in and bam, car primed and started right up. I re-pinned my "A" connector for VTEC and the BBG on A11. I couldn't run it how I had my other one as it would void warranty...

How does one go about Changing the ECU with a Neptune tune on it?

Ok so, I've been running a P06 VTEC converted ECU with Neptune. The ECU has gone bad so I had to order another. I ordered a P28 and wondering if I may have to change that in the Neptune software; P06...

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

I did mention it was a negligible difference. Lol! The big bang to charge pipe mounted was that temp readings came down considerably faster after shutdown; like a 15 minute drive, park and go into...
