Re: Recovery of Chip Tune in Hondata S200

JRCivic the reason I question it is because for the last 5 years its been failing only intermittently. I burned up multiple coils due to the ECU allowing the coil to be hot whenever the key was...

Re: obd-0, 1 or 2?

Exactly. Your current fuel system is a "return" type, which means that the pump runs fuel up to the rail and is regulated at the fuel rail exit by a fuel pressure regulator, allowing some flow to go...

Re: k20a2 rebuilt

In a Honda, those dimensions would make very low oil pressure and you would have rod knock.

OP, are you posting values in "MM" or "Thousands of an inch" ???

Re: Assistance Needed: Unknown Garrett Turbocharger identification

TheShodan, I thought all standard journal bearing ("T" series) Garrett turbochargers did not have provisions for water cooling AND all Garrett turbochargers have a tag on the CHRA. That looks like a...

Re: Product Feedback request: Compstar B18c rods from Callies - Good for 800whp?

Agreed. I am familiar with Callie's cranks, and they do in fact have a history of high quality. My suspicion is that they do not manufacture this rod... but rather source it from an Asian...

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

DaX and Txdragon... just something to consider: The OBD-1 IAT circuit has a lot more latitude than the one within the OBD-2 system. This is why it is positioned inside the intake manifold instead...

Re: Product Feedback request: Compstar B18c rods from Callies - Good for 800whp?

Actually, Brian was a pioneer in the Import Scene while working for the family business... the move to his own operation simply reduced delivery times. I don't think he missed a beat. As for...

Re: Recovery of Chip Tune in Hondata S200

I am shocked that you would question the reliability of a Hondata system when what you have has worked for at least TEN YEARS !!! The s200 has been discontinued about that long. Chances are your...

Re: Gasket matching a z6

You are absolutely right TomCat... chances are really good that anything you do to a Z6 cylinder head will likely reduce performance somewhere in the power band when being used in a naturally...

Re: Skunk2 Throttlebody and intake manifold install

You can fill those gaps/gouges with HondaBond (RTV silicone)... just use a really thin layer/skin on it and don't go overboard and glob it on.

Re: obd-0, 1 or 2?

Unfortunately, "not really wanting Hondata" is irrelevant. You MUST have a tuning solution (Hondata, K-Tuner, AEM, Motech, etc.) to allow the engine to run properly and to avoid a sh1t-ton of work. ...

Re: Looking for options/advice on d16z6 spun rod bearing

It IS a big deal because a Honda crankshaft is flash hardened and the hardness is typically only three to six thousandths deep !!! Just because something works on a Chevy small block or an old tech...
