Re: FUEL LEAKING ONTO MY FLOORBOARD!

Double check your connections at the fuel filter, especially if it is still mounted on the firewall.

Re: Need purchasing advice for a Civic I want to drag race.

It is rare to find someone selling a project that is actually 100% complete and in good running condition. There are two more likely scenarios. A) They ran out of funds or botched something in...

Re: Need purchasing advice for a Civic I want to drag race.

Neither.

Build your own, build it the way you want it, and build it right.

Then you get the pride and satisfaction of running your first 12, 11, 10 second pass with a car YOU built, not...

Re: AutoX19'S B16 in a Fiat X1/9

Sometime with aftermarket distributors, they will not line up properly to set timing. Get out the dremel and make the slot longer :P

Re: hondata s300 issues

The V1's memory relies on a battery that has a limited life. Once it dies, it can no longer store a calibration and won't let you download or upload. Usually the LED will turn solid red when this...

Re: hondata s300 issues

Contact the tuner and have them send you the calibration file they used when they tuned the car.

You cannot download and upload reliably from Hondata, especially between software updates. Also...

Re: Leplease's Stock GSR Turbo Questions

Not to state the obvious, but did you adjust your calibration for the 1000cc injectors?

Re: New to Honda - Help me choose a drivetrain

IMO, B series (B16, B18) is the way to go for simplicity, reliability, and the stock transmission can handle quite a bit of abuse compared to a K series tranny. However, they are getting older and...

Re: TurboLScrx - Making my return to the fold

Where did you source the 2200’s and how are you liking them so far? Easy enough to tune and get a decent idle?

Re: DaX's D16Z6 turbocharger build - older, but maybe not any wiser

I’ve never been a FB user until recently, joined so I could check out the local “car scene” group for my city. FB seems to be mostly a bunch of high school kids who spent their parents money on...

Re: Illiniois the worst state in the world

Well, we used to live in Dodge county, moved to Rochester a few years ago. It is much better, but we still plan on moving back to southern MI, northern IN area as soon as we are able.

Re: 1991 CRX Turbo B18 project/build thread

It's been great. I've got easily 4-5K miles on it now, still holds power fine in 4th gear, and the engagement has gotten much smoother on starts than it was. Took about 1000 miles to fully break...

Re: Illiniois the worst state in the world

Not where I live, maybe southern MN is different from the rest of the state, but there are zero lakes in Dodge county, and the parks are terrible compared to everywhere else I've lived. Outside of...

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

I agree, that CHRA got a little too much gangsta lean goin on. Should be able to make a drain that works with a barb fitting if you mess with it long enough.

Nice work on getting your fuel...

Re: Txdragon's D16Z6 project: I've just boarded the Z6 bandwagon..

Just keep it away from anywhere you might have gasoline vapors accumulating. There shouldn't be any, but if there are any vents in the tank or lines where you can smell gas vapors regularly I'd...

Re: Suspension parts: Any luck with certain suspension brands?

Parts stores sell tons of parts as "OEM" that are not OEM. What they actually mean is standard OEM replacement, which just meets the minimum quality threshold set by the OE but did not undergo all...

Re: Suspension parts: Any luck with certain suspension brands?

I would guess they continued to build service parts from the oem suppliers for years after the production of a model ends.

I forget who made the oem ball joints but they seemed like new when I...

Re: Suspension parts: Any luck with certain suspension brands?

OEM ball joints all the way.

I have one Napa brand lbj and one OEM, you can really see and feel the difference with the OEM.

As others have said, hard race lcas with rubber bushings are nice. I...
