Default Scammer Alert: Lil4banger | SofastSofurious | Gerald Alvarez - Stockton, CA

(6/13/2012)
I recently just purchased a Kpro unit from Gerald Alvarez (Usernames: lil4banger/Sofastsofurious/Rsxtypes209) and have come to the conclusion that the transaction is scam. I did research before I sent him the money via paypal and came up with nothing (although after sending my money I found a few scammer threads). We agreed on the transaction amount and that the tracking information will be sent out the following day. A few days later I get nothing and ask for some info and get the run around. I proceed to contact some of my out of state friends with different area codes and have them communicate with him as potential buyers. He proceeds to talk to them as if the unit is still for sale/potentially sold unless they come up with a better offer (One friend even asked him why is he still offering it as for sale if it is potentially sold). I contacted him yet again to get the run around about chilling out and that it was sent and he would give me the tracking information later on. I stated to him that if I were to not get my tracking information or refund (in full) by the end of the next business day I will have no choice but to file a dispute through paypal and report him to the authorities. I understand that it has only been 3 days (from purchase to this post) but after what I have found out through my research I feel this is the best course of action.

This is the information I have:

If you or someone you know has been scammed by this individual you can file a police report here:
http://www.stocktongov.com/governmen...ice/onRep.html

Read the section on "Online Reports" and scroll down to the external link on the bottom and open it in a new window. You can then select "Fraud or Identity Theft". Fill out your information and go from there.

You can also file here with the Internet Crimes Complaint Center (IC3)
http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

Here is some information regarding IC3:

"The IC3 accepts online Internet crime complaints from either the actual victim or from a third party to the complainant. We can best process your complaint if we receive accurate and complete information from you. Therefore, we request that you provide the following information when filing a complaint:
-Your name

-Your telephone number
-The name, address, telephone number, and Web address, if available, of the individual or organization you believe defrauded you.
-Specific details on how, why, and when you believe you were defrauded.
-Any other relevant information you believe is necessary to support your complaint."

********* 6/13/12 @ 12:35pm- I contacted the seller to let him know that if I was not given the tracking information that my hand would be forced, I received my tracking information. I will be keeping this page up until I receive the ECU and it functions properly*******

Thats sux. sorry to hear that. IMO, I usually see how many posts they have before buying anything. If they are fairly new, I would be hesitant to make the purchase. You made a good move paying thru PAYPAL. I love paypal. It always comes in handy when these F****ng scammer tries to steal $. I had same problem with NoLimitMotorSport, they never sent out my product and payment was done through paypal. It was later disputed and they favored me. Good luck to you

Good luck man. I've been following your new build and you seem like a legitimate buyer.

I hope you get your parts.
