TERMITE587 = False Advertising
On May 13, 2017, I paid Rommel Monton of San Diego $115 for a DC2 QuadPod bezel, depicted as being intact in his ad.
It arrived packed securely, with no damage to the box, but with the center pods separated.
It didn't look like the center pods came loose in transit; they weren't attached when shipped.
I contacted him to say that I hadn't planned on having to bond parts together to make it work, but that I'd accept $25 as compensation for the inconvenience.
He offered me $20, and I said that I'd accept $23 because I paid $15 for USPS shipping, but he used ground service for $12, which took longer.
I also offered to send it back for a full refund and return shipping, which he refused.
He had me send payment as a gift, which I thought he only did to avoid seller fees, but which leaves me unable to dispute the charge with PayPal.
I don't expect him to compensate me at this point. I just want to warn others.
