Default Bad experience w/ Desmon aka wrx-killer-sti-eater over stealth install for my ITR.

I got the green light from a moderator to post what I'm about to post. Mod, if there's something that I'm violating after reading my story please inform me so that I can edit my post accordingly. Here's my story

--------------------------------
Hello H-T. I am writing this because I want to inform other members about my experience dealing with Desmon Margan aka Wrx-Killer-Sti-Eater. I also want to let everyone know that I had my alarm installed by him back in '04 and never had any problem. I then came across the h-t member Rgoose and dookie11 1 year old thread about their experience with Desmon and it was different from mines. Back in '04 Desmon stealth my ITR and it was a straight forward transaction. He installed, I payed, we were both happy. But Rgoose and Dookie11 both are complaining about how Desmon wouldn't return phone calls and etc. Desmon claimed to be busy and I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of my past experience with him.

Fast forward to 2012. I contacted Desmon for another stealth install and he agreed to provide the service. He was quick to respond to my message here on H-T and cell phone. But that all changed once I sent him 1k of my money through paypal. Once the money was in his possession he stop responding. I left numerous voice messages and text him just for a status check and he would not reply. On Feb 17th he told me to send him money in advance so that he can place an order and get the gps over the weekend and install by Tuesday Feb 21st. Since I never had problem with him before, & he has numerous amount of people vouching for him, I'd figured that he is a trust worthy person. Tuesday came around, 12noon, I text and called, and he didn't answer, so I left a message informing him that I'm on my way. The initial plan was for me to just bring the car over on Tuesday to his "shop." Which is not his btw, it's just a small garage that is rented out to another person and they do work there. So don't expect to see the name "percisionmobilesoundwerks" on the building or anything.

So I am now @ his shop on Tuesday the 21st & the shop owner tells me that Desmon is not there. The shop owner then made a call to Desmon, Desmon brother, and then his GF and no one answered. I waited for another 20 minute and decided to go kill some time @ long beach town center. While driving towards the town center Des Text me and says, "mobile iq didn't deliver the unit because of the holiday (presidents day)" So I called him & he then said to me that he's on the phone with mobile iq right now to do a over night shipping so that he can do my car 2mrw. Tuesday night I text Desmon just to make sure that everything is good and the unit should be there Wednesday and so on. Again, Desmon did not reply. The next day, Wednesday 5:45am I text for a status check again, hoping that when Desmon wakes up he would see my message and reply back to me by 12 noon when I get out of class. 12 o'clock came around and no message from him. @ this point I'm getting tired of him not letting me know what's going on. Dude has 1k of my money and now is not replying to my messages. (keep in mind that I would send text 2 to 3 hours apart to allow him time to reply back)

So I waited, and waited again........3:45pm Thursday I sent him another text saying, "sup des, any update on the shipping?" he replied with a "yes"........... Serious Desmon, that's all you have to say? just yes? yes what!? Right when I got that "yes" text I called him right away because I'd figured that since he just texted me, his cell phone should be in his hand and he's using it. So I called and he didn't answer. But 1 minute afterward, he text me "give me 20 minute and I'll call you." 1 hour went by and no phone call. It is now 5:24pm Thursday about 1 hour after he told me he was going to call me within 20 minutes. I text him again asking if he was going to call me back, & he didn't reply.

I gave him so much time to reply, & yet he doesn't. Even after he said that he would call me within 20 minutes. I began to suspect him trying to scam me so I contacted my bank and paypal and reported the situation. After I finish talking to paypal, paypal said that they'll contact desmon and open up a claim/dispute for me. I also sent a text to desmon saying sorry that I can no longer wait for him to respond or provide service for me, so I'm going to go to a local shop and get my car alarm. Can you please just refund the money I sent you. Thx.

5 Minutes after I hunged up with paypal, whaddaya know? he calls me. By then I was already upset and informed him that I no longer want him to do my alarm. The lack of communication and excuses and stories doesn't line up. & since NOTHING was ever installed in my car, I would just like him to return my money. He then said Ok, but he's going to charged me 150 plus shipping to send the unit back. He told me that it's like cancelling a cell phone contract because he had activated the unit already. Which doesn't make sense to me because doesn't he need my vin #, Lic #, my Name, address, and other important information about myself in order to activate a GPS and assign it to my vehicle?

Desmon & I chatted for 1/2 an hour and I agreed to give him a 2nd chance because he was willing to come over to my house Friday the 24th to do the alarm install. He said that he'll put the GPS when it gets here Sat. We set up an appointment for friday @ 2:30-3:00. I text him @ 3:02 and he told me that he coudln't leave his shop until another customer comes over to pick up their car. I said ok that's cool. 20 minutes later he calls me and ask if it's ok that he shows up 1 1/2 hour from now cause he's still waiting for the customer, again I said ok.

4:15pm Friday the 24th. Desmon text me "About to leave the shop in 30 min" ....Now it's 6:00pm and I get another text, "OMW". I'm sure whoever is reading this would realize that he's giving me the run around again. Our original appointment was 2:30 to 3:00. It is now 6:48 and I have lost all hope. The sun has already gone down and I had already informed him that I have to leave my place @ 8pm. How will we be able to pull my whole dash apart and isntall the alarm within 1 hour and the sun has already gone down? I already gave him a 2nd chance and he does this to me again. So I text him to forget it. He then replied and told me he's 2 miles away from where I live. @ 7pm he finally shows up. We chatted for 1/2 an hour and I just couldn't deal with this guy. He gave me the run around so many time and even after I gave him a 2nd chance he does it again. I told him that if he's too busy he should hire some help or not take up too many cars to work on. Don't take my money then make up these stories of how you're too busy. Should of never took the job in the first place if you couldn't accommodate it on the appointment date

While we were outside talking face to face, Desmon kept insisting that I should not cancel because I would lose out on 150bux, because he refuse to pay out of his own pocket for the re-shipping fees and restocking fees and "cancellation" fees. I told Desmon that I myself would gladly pay it if he can provide me proof. I told him receipt is not good enough. I want to return the package myself, and he refused. I then told him that I at least want to be there so that I can see the item being shipped. I want to call the company myself an ask them what am I being charged of because no device was ever installed in my car. I am the car owner, am I not the one that is suppose to call and activate something if it's under my name? So I told desmon to give me the information I asked for so that I can inquire on these charges myself, and he refused. He would not tell me his vendor #. Im not sure why. The only thing I can think of is that he is b'shitting me with the cancellation charges and trying to jip me off 200 bux. Desmon then took off and told me that I can come get my money on Monday.........why? why not just send it back to paypal.

Later that night we exchanged a few more text and he said that he returned my money. He then text me and said something about 200 bux to keep his business running. It was a really confusing text but it seemed like he's saying to me that he's going to keep 200 bux from the 1k I gave him to cover those "charges" he mention. I logged on paypal, called paypal and called my bank and there's no transaction pending or anything. So I inform desmon that both paypal and my bank don't see any pending refund/return. Then he replied with a "well it's on paypal then" and continue to say to me, "I can't have this childish matter drag on any further." How am I being childish? I just want my money back. I told Desmon that I don't want the police involved but I will file a police repot if I have to.

The next day, Sat. Feb 25th, I called both my bank and paypal to inform them of what went on between me and desmon regarding our conversation in person and through text. I saved all my text, honda-tech pms, incoming and outgoing calls activity on my phone bills to provide as evidence. Paypal then told me that Desmon failed to provide the proof they needed to show that he didn't do any wrong, so they went in favor of my claim and returned the money to me as I was on the phone with them.

The funny part is while on text, H-T pm, phone call and face to face conversation, Desmon swore he will not return my money in full because of those "cancellation" charges. But after I went out of my way to contact and inform paypal the whole situation and they return my money because of me providing proof and evidence. I now get a text from Desmon saying that he "called" paypal and will return my money in full as if he's doing it on his own free will. Dude, I got my full refund because I pursued justice. You tried to scam me bro. You can say all you want about how you never scam anyone, and you do have a lot of people vouching for you, I was once one of them. But you're shady dude, really shady. You may not be a full scammer but don't promise an installation on one day @ a certain time, and gradually postpone it and keep postponing it to your liking. If you couldn't handle the amount of work on your plate, then don't pick up extra incoming work.

H-T people, Desmon is the **** when it comes to installing your alarm. He knows his stuff, but just be aware that you might have to go through what I went through. It sux that this had to happen, now I have to find someone else who can offer a stealth install.

The Problem has been resolved no thanks to Desman, but thanks to paypal and my bank. I just want to inform other honda-tech members who are looking for a stealth install to use precautions and be aware of what could happen to you also.

I honestly know where your coming from. I had a similar story like that on HT also. Be careful from who you buy from on here. Just cause they have lots of vouchers don't mean ****. People are super shady these days and are willing to do some fu<ked up thing just to get a couple extra bucks in their pockets. The kid I had the problem with was just like how you describe, he had the Worse communication skills Ever. The good part is that you got your money back! If I was to see the person face to face. It would of been a different story for me! You really must be a patient guy. Good thing people post thread like theses

Sucks. He's had some great ideas on Honda security and has helped a lot of people. Glad the OP was able to get his money back. Hope Desmon can turn things around. Must be something up....he was very helpful in the past.

I am glad I am not working on your car. Or people like you. I not going to sit here and bash you cause thats not how I am. You call me ever 15 min. And when I did call you back no answer. Your upset that I did not answer your call when I working on a customer car. I can't answer every thing Then you would call late when I out on my personal time. What ever. I did not charge you restock fee. I ate it. Did I put a unit in your car that did not perform as the way it should? NO! I had a new unit coming in that I next day in. And it did not show up on time. I even kept you posted on my tracking number that you could track my personal business package. I guess its wrong to put in a unit that not up to par and have you complain that its not working correctly.

And your a lie about paypal. There is over 2k in my account at all times. Your money was refunded the same day I came to your pad.

I have 2 member that was giving the same information. There cars are still at the shop waiting for there unit. You can ask boldfart and ej8b16a2. They received the same information as you at the sametime. You choose refund. Good luck to you. And yess I have phone records too. Don't Lie.

I am not going throw mud for no reason. Beleive what you want. I am not going anywere. There is allways going to be someone that does not like what you do.

Say what you will Desmon. I am happy that I got my full refund. Care to explain to others who are reading this thread about the BS "cancellation" charges you tried to put on me? Care to explain how you "activated" the account without my name, #, address, Vin#, Lic. # and other important information? & how do you activate someone elses account? isn't that my job if it is installed on MY CAR? or why you didn't want to provide me contact information to your vendor so that I can ask question myself? You tried very hard not to refund the whole amount. You never sent me any tracking #, you sent a picture to my cell phone with what looks to be a status bar, but the picture was so blurry I couldn't make out any useful information. Why not send me tracking # itself? this way I can go to fedex.com and check myself.

^^^^ Your a lie. I not giving out my dealer information to you period! No business person would. You keep asking for it. You do not work with us. The unit was in your name. I don't need the vin to your car to do it. You had a tracking number to my shipment. No other business would do that. I did and you have a that information and a picture of a screen shot on your phone. Did I eat the restocking fee. Yes. I don't care. What ever. To end this matter with you I'll pay that cost. You were kept up to par with the tracking unit coming in. What. You spend that type of money and you want a faulty unit? You fail to post that to try to make me look bad. But I thank you cause people are now asking me more about the unit. So there is good light to this.

I wish you the best to what ever you do. Its people like you that I can't deal with and don't want to. I tryied to help you out. Gave you a great and incrediable deal since you bought a new itr and came back to us. A price I would never do again for anyone. And this is the thanks I get. A half *** truth story on honda-tech. What ever. Say what you want. First complaint of the year Out 45 cars. I guess Ill take that for the win. Peace!

^^^^^^ Lol, such a gimmick. If a business got caught screwing up, what is the first thing they do? Offer some type of deals to bring back customers.

First of all I am not lying. Second of all, I don't want to or have to make you look bad. I am just informing other H-T members of my experience with you.
Here is what Desmon sent to my phone, you tell me what it says, because I cannot make it out. I told you, why not send me the tracking #? He sent me this blurry image.

BTW this is a screen shot from Desmon, I didn't take this pic myself. This was what was sent to me.

Oh, now you don't care? Like I said, you tried very hard to keep 200 bux from the 1k I sent you. I ask you on phone and in person to just return my money, and you refused. You wouldn't budge and claim that it's not up to you, it's up to your vendor. Dude, If you don't care like how you're claiming now, then you would of return my full amount and we could of moved along. But nooooo, I had to call the bank and paypal to inform them of what you're trying to do to me. That's how I was able to get my full refund. If you "didn't care" like how you're claiming now, you would of just sent that 1k back after I initially asked for it.

And another thing. What kind of GPS gets activated with just a name? You claim that you activated the account with my name (isn't that illegal? activating some type of service using someone else name?), yet the gps company has no information on what kind of car or if there really exist lets just say a "John Doe" . Why on earth did you activate a unit when it hasn't even been installed yet? Don't the 1 year service start right when you activate it? Isn't that the job of the owner of the vehicle to activate a service that he/she wants on his/her car? Isn't that my job to call and activate the device and inform the company of current location and other important information?

And while I'm at it, here's is a copy of my incoming and outgoing calls and messages to Desmon. I took the time to highlight our interaction. Notice communication was strong early on the 16th and 17th (the day I sent the money) and notice it died out in between untill I reported this incident to paypal and my bank. You will see outgoing and incoming calls, and pay attention to the minutes, if it's 1 to 2 minutes long, it's mostly me leaving messages on his voice mail. And Desmon, if you were in the right with this whole situation, and did no wrong, why did paypal side with me then? Why did you not provide them the tracking # like they asked you to? and why did you fail to charge me that "cancellation fee" like how you were telling me @ my house? It's because you were trying to bullshit me and you couldn't bullshit paypal.

And here are the text messages

^^^ I don't need deals, I am tried and proven But since your not being truthful and you just posted up the picture text that you did not post in the orginal post. Might as well make something of it. Thanks for your time.

And I did not charge you restocking fee cause I did not want to deal with this he said she said bs like now. And paypal does not care about our deal. They only care about shipping. I could of been a dick or a scammer and mail a phony package to your addy and gave them a tracking number. Then paypal would of been happy. There is no way in hell Would I do that cause I am not a scammer or a dick like that. And would never do anyone like that period. And its just a stroke of luck that I called you when you called paypal. I did not even know it. And paypal does not want any information from anyone else but our transaction. Not a third party transaction. So go figure.

And the unit was in your name and addy. Once you enter your cc information your account becomes yours. When I have and order the unit its pre activated under my account. Hence why I can log in and test the unit before giving it to a customer. I sell the units and a dealer for the company. I really don't need to be put under a fine tooth combs on what goes on between me and them. Thats none of your business and is between me and them. But you insist on knowing all of my company info with them. How many units I move and reps name and all. Don't lie cause there is 3 people that heard you demand all of this.

If I was a scammer I would of put the unit in that did not have that great of a signal vs the newer units I ordered. I see the other members are taking advantage of this. And they seem to have no problems. And what sucks is that there waiting too. But atleast they unsderstand shipping lateness is not on my hands. They were informed just like you, all at the same time. Good luck to you. Peace.

Dude, your response doesn't make any sense. If you really want to clear your name and have H-T member not think twice about dealing with you, then you need to answer those questions that I have within my post. You can't answer them because of, ummm... could it be that you may be guilty of those things I have accused you of?

I've done my job because now this thread is within Honda-Tech data base. Hopefully the next person that looks into contacting you about an alarm install take the time to google your name or even use the search bar within honda-tech and find this thread.

Funny because I did just that, I googled your name and found those threads and saw what other members (Rgoose & Dookie11) complained about, but I still trusted you because you installed my alarm in '04 and because of numerous people vouching for you and the video that you have in your signature. That lead me to trust you, but I guess anyone can change over night.

For those who are interested in previous problem with Desmon, heres are some links that I found within H-T database. Like Desmon said, you guys be the judge.

B***SH*t it was under my name and addy. I did not send you my address until Thurday, for you to come on Friday to do the alarm. You sent me a picture text of the gps delivery status on Thursday with the bar that looks to appear almost complete. Tell me, how were you able to obtain my address after you had already "ordered" the gps?

haha, who? your GF and Brother who were more than 10 feet away in the car with the music blasting while you were @ my front porch? Dude, the more we chat the more I do believe that you're a scammer. I can't believe the stuff you're saying to me right now. There's no way I can prove to anyone else reading how how much of a scammer/liar you are. I tried my best to provide within this post the evidence to prove my claim.

Also, all I asked for was a # to the person who can answer my question. The question of "what charges are being placed on me when I did not have anything installed nor did I activate any gps." I don't really care how many units you move and the name of the rep. I just wanted to speak with Human resource of the company to inform me of the matter so that I would know for sure that you're not trying to F**k me over. And you failed to do that, because the claim of chargin' me 200 bux was bull SH*t coming out of your mouth.

You posted 3 links, 2 to a link of a member that lied and tryied to scam me, And do a charge back 4 months after the install was done.

And one that I was having trouble with workers and and taking in to many cars. I'll admit to that. Both members got there product. And h2bb got a free install on his car. You can put me in any database. It shows attempt to make something out of nonething. Thanks for the advertisement

I can list vendors on here that really scamm people on here and members on here that really do people dirty. But don't trip I'll list this places too.

If paypal has my address, then why did you ask for me to text you my address on Thursday so that you can come over to my pad? BS after bs from you.
And that seems like a pretty dick move for you to post my address with thieves lurking this forum. Shows how much of a "stand up guy" you are. I'm not too sure but I believe that posting my address is some type of TOS violation.

This is a discussion and debate between me and you and it's up to honda-tech members to decide. You provide your claim and so have I.

Cause I did not even look into your paypal information cause I trusted you. I did not even verify that you even made a deposit because I did business with you before. Most people with itr are adults and I try to go out of my way cause of what the car is.

I don't even understand this thread. You were never scammed. I never touched your car. I did not install a unit that was not up to par. That you paid good money for it. You got your refund the same day. Full refund! I even moved appointments to take your car in cause you had a itr!

What ever. I don't know what you want or trying to do. Say what you want. I am over it. Have a good nite and good luck to you and what ever you do to your car.

I am not going to go back and fourth over b.s nonesence. I did nonething wrong. I am over you and your thread.

Mention that you read this post and to the next 10 members or walk ins I'll give you 2 years free service, on mobile iq gps tracking system, viper 5901 alarm system and everything needed to install the unit correclty. And I now have new units and everything back in stock

Choose for yourself.

I don't know what this video is trying to prove other than you're trying to sell/install more of these things and want more customers. It doesn't prove that you didn't try to scam money, or disprove any of the comments made earlier.

1. Why don't you answer any of his claims?
2. Did you or did you not tell him that there will be a $200 cancellation fee?
3. Did you really show up several hours late when you had an previous appointment with your customer?
4. Did you or did you not claim to have refunded his money when you really didn't?
5. Did you even attempt to return any of his phone calls, leave a message, send an email, etc.?

I think as a person who has sold his services to customer who had already paid you for it in advanced, you need to give him your undivided attention. And if you can't, you should at least make an effort to reschedule or give a very good explanation.

Secondly, he asked for a refund only because he suspected you could not deliver based on you not returning his calls. This is YOUR problem not his, so he should not feel obligated to pay you any cancellation, or restocking fee what so ever. He deserves a prompt 100% refund of what he paid you because you delivered NOTHING.

If I were anyone reading this, I definitely would not give you any of my business. This guy calls you out and all could do is post incoherent babble and sales videos.

Desmon, quit lying to me man. You claim that you never checked to see if the funds were sent? Dude, I sent you the money and I called you to confirm the deposit & you told me yeah, it's been deposited. We can leave this thread as that if you want. I got this off my chest, you did the same. My intention if you read my initial post was to inform people of my experience with you this time around. And to use precaution. I even said that you know your ****, but again, I'm letting people know my experience with you because you gave me the run around for days and it started after you took possession of my money.

Music blasting wtf, hahah omg dude your to much.... And my worker was there to help knock out your car. And it was not 10 feet away. Do I need to google earth this? Your way to much. I am now glad that I did not touch your car! You have something wrong with you.

And you can stop calling me a scammer. I gave you a refund. Or you got the refund from a account that had plenty of funds to cover it. On the same day. You have your money now. What do you want interest. I'll send you $2.00 to cover interest for a week. Thats more then enough.

I guess you think this thread is going to harm me or try to put me out of business cause you have nonething better to do and have nonething to lose. What ever. Keep posting bs. I had to qoute this.

But I do know one thing. I never ever do deal without meeting the person first. I can thank you for this.

How about I do you one better. Why not come back to my place, bring a video camera and a measuring tape. Lets measure the distance and post the video on youtube so that you or I can link it here and you tell me if it's not more than 10ft. Your car was not in my driveway, it was park near my mail box, I was on the first step of my porch.
