you pay a premium to know for a fact that you will not get screwed no matter what. in this segment, that is SO common. someone somewhere might get a swap for cheaper, and it works out well, but those stories vs. such with steve are 1 compared to 100. you know the engine and its parts will work properly and not be broken. and if they are, he takes care of it IMMEDIATELY. i got a JDM GSR swap from him, with LSD trans. internally the engine was like brand new. no skirt scuff, all the cross hatch was there, piston tops were clean. there was a vibration that i couldn't figure out and he sent me another transmission no questions asked, and did it before i even sent the other back. while there are better deals out there because guys have to find some way to compete with the large customer base of HMO, there is nobody that has been providing that sort of customer service with setups as clean for as long as steve.

BTW i'm moving this thread to the feedback sub-forum.

Wow you guys must either have shitty luck, or I have just had great luck with the 6 motors purchased from tigerjapanese. I have seen threads like this before and have yet to get a lame duck from tiger. Their pricing is very reasonable and every motor I have boughten has actually come with more then was listed. Here is the motors I have purchased for myself, family and friends through them.

b20b: turbo'd for a year, beat on daily, put in another car still running 3 years later. I even got the uber rare P8R head with mine

d15b: This went in my dads CRX which he beat the ever living hell out of for 3 1/2 years before selling the car due to being rear ended. The motor is still running in another vehichle. It litterally saw 8k rpms all day, every day.

(3) B18B: All 3 of these went in friends Integras, with 1 being boosted. The only issue with 1 was a broken water temp sensor. Another one needed a timing belt, but thats not a big deal and in fact I would think most people would want to swap that out before putting it in their car. I know I would...

DOHC ZC: Again another turbo motor that is still running strong 2 years later

I am no way affiliated with tiger, just a supporter of their motors. I have seen a motor from hmotors last 2 weeks, I have seen junkyard motors last years....its always going to be hit or miss with any used engine you buy. Pretty sure their warranty is exactly like Hmotors, start up garaunteed.

**Note** All motors were bought between 2005-2008 time frame, so maybe they have changed, I am just stating from my personal expierence**

Mike contacted me via e-mail a few hours ago and requested that I call him because he had an offer for me. In exchange for resolving my feedback threads(including this one), he would resolve my unhappy experience with TJ and refund me the original purchase price of the motor minus shipping. I edited my first-posts on these threads, and he sent me the refund via paypal. A deal's a deal, so this is the conclusion of my story.

Thanks.

I got a complete H22A swap from Tiger Japanese back in '06. The TPS was broken, but I showed them a picture and they promptly sent me a new one. One day I took off the metal piece where the oil filter screws in and I noticed there was some blockage due to some radiator stop leak. I just cleaned it all out and it was good as new. There is no way they could have known that.

My H22A swap that I got from them is still running strong, and I thought the service was pretty damn good. Sorry to hear about all your horror stories, but I figure they might as well get ONE good review from a satisfied customer
