to put a type r exhaust on you need to replace the catalitic converter, do a search, this has been covered many times

You dont need to replace the cat, you need to modify the b-pipe. I believe you have to add 3in.

To put an ITR exhaust on a GSR or a GS you don't have to modify or replace anything. I have a 98 integra GS and it bolts on perfectly. My friend has a 01 GSR and has the same set up.

You don't have to modify the exhaust if you have an 00+ GS-R, or a 94-01 RS/GS/LS. People with pre-00 GS-Rs have reported having to modify the b-pipe, because until 2000 the GS-R had a different b-pipe length than other Integras.
