beware of buyer A L I A S possible scammer
to make an incredibly long story short(but still long) user A L I A S contacted me over 2 weeks ago interested in buying my zeal s6 coilover set. he offered significantly less than i was asking and i told him i cant do that price but i gave him the price i could do. we had im converstations for a couple days he was asking me all about the suspension, the history, the condtion... rightfully so. and at that point he said he will send the money in 2 weeks b.c thats when he gets paid.
we stayed in contact over the past two weeks inquiring about shipping cost and assuring me he is 100% about buying the coilovers he is just waiting to get paid, i told him i would only ship to paypal confirmed address and gave him my shipping quotes accordingly. he agreed and said everything is still a go, then a couple days later said ups will ship for $10... my jaw dropped that ups would ship a 35lb package insured for over 1200$ for only 10$, well he wanted me to ship to a nissan dealership that he susposedly works at, i asked for his zip code and checked for myself. fedex would do 15$ to residential address, i told him again i would only ship to residential confirmed address(to his bank account) and fedex was only 5$ more expensive than his bogus ups price anyway... so whats the problem?
that was wednesday and i havnt heard from him since, he was susposed to send payment on friday and is now not responding to any of my pms
to sumarize, i think after building a repor with me over two weeks he tried to non-chalantly get me to ship to a buisness that would be basically untracable. when i refused b/c im not a ******* idiot he backed out of the sale, but not even with any dignity, he just ran away.
i just want others to know the story. as a rule of thumb dont ship to address that is not confirmed... when the buyer retracts the paypal payment, or cancles the credit card payment, paypal will take the $ back from you the seller, and you wont be able to argue b/c you didnt ship to confirmed address in the first place.
if A L I A S or a friend of his is reading this, i would LOVE to hear your side of the story at this point.
