98' Spec ITR Transmission with 4.785 Final Drive and LSD
Price is Firm = $800 + shipping.
Needs the 3rd/4th Hub & Sleeve replaced and some of the dog teeth could use some cleaning up. The bearings seem to be in good condition without any play. Overall it's a pretty clean transmission. A good cleaning and these issues addressed and it would be a solid transmission! I would keep it, but, I have two now and can't forsee me having a need for it anytime soon.
Note: I re-installed the cover without Hondabond. I assumed the buyer would want to pull the cover back off upon arrival. Also, included is the slave cylinder etc..
Thanks! To be honest, it's probably not much worse than any other used transmission for sale. I'm certain all used transmissions have parts that need replacing, etc...It is metal on metal contact, there will be wear. It could have very well been a smooth shifting, no grind trans while installed. But, I didn't have the luxury of knowing before hand and wanted potential buyers to see what was under the cover.
Thanks! If it doesn't sell, I will probably part out the Final Drive and Limited Slip Differential and rebuild it with closer ratio gears or something similar.
