hey guys,

im starting to build my hatch for road racing, I'm currently on chrome but looking to move on to either aem or hondata.

current setup right now is lsv with b16 head.

BC stg. 2 NA cams
valve spring and retainers
s2 intake mani and 68mm TB
rs macine pr3 pistons
tytech rep headers and full 2.5" exhaust
JDM type r trans
9.5 lb flywheel.

right now I'm making 205 whp.


currently redoing my suspension. but i am running k-sport control pro 1 pc.

Im going to be doing a few changes to my motor like a newer intake manifold, higher comp. pistons.

but once I'm done with that ill need a new tune so as i said. what would be the better tuning application to have. aem or hondata..

hondata will suit you just fine. AEM has a really great interface when you are actually going to take advantage of what it has to offer, but the setup is much more intensive. Honestly unless you need the features that AEM has over hondata (ability to use custom triggers, real pencil coils, bunch of other stuff) hondata is really the best bang for your buck. It is also a lot easier to understand if you have never tuned a car before and need to make your own adjustments. Having said that, there are some minor drawbacks to hondata, the main one being that you are using a 20+ year old computer as the base, but dont let that throw you, it is still plenty capable.
