Default TRM wheels shakedown

So i drive a 96 gsr lightly moded for track days. Switched from the OZ supertourismo wrc 16'' to a TRM (tire rack motorsports)C1 15''. I was worried about the switch and going to a smaller tire, but man are they light. The steering and feed back is great. Not been out on the track yet but just around the neighborhood it was great. If you are looking for a light rim, check these out. I don't know how durable they will be i will update after i get to a track.

I've been eyeballing these wheels for a little bit myself. The price is definitely right for a budget auto-x setup. Unfortunately, tire rack makes it hard to get any actual info about them without selecting a vehicle. Is there a chart of available sizes/bolt patterns out there anywhere?

Beefy. Those are offset a bit lower than I'm willing to go though. Planning on rolling/pulling?

Those are 205 XS's. They do look good though. I wish all the wheels had that same concavity.

The font was fine, hits the liner a bit.

The rear had to be raised up and some negative camber (-2.5Deg) and still will rub on the highway on big dips

That is insanely cheap for a wheel that light and that good looking! **** Rota Slips lol. What off sets though? I would love a 15x8 +30 but I'd settle for a 15x7 +40.

i checked out the 15x7.5 and then searched for a 1995 miata. they're also showing a 15x9 +36.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

different model wheel, but i thought all the wide wheels were only available in low offset.

Has anyone used the TRM wheels that were made for the Miatas? i thought i read somewhere that the center bore needed to be opened up to fit Hondas.

C1M is hub centric for the miata, so you would need to bore out to fit. it is also slightly heavier at 13.1 lbs or so, that way they can be used for Spec Miata classes.

i have them in the 15x7, et30 fitment for the spec miata. -

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

yes, you have to machine a bit out of the center bore to fit them on a honda.

however, they fit great, and are fairly light.

have almost 10k miles on them, with some track time, and they are holding up great...

tires are 195/50/15 Dunlop Direzza DZ101's.

Hard to tell, are those 205 Star Specs? They probably fit better that the +20, but the +20's look so much better with the concave faces.

if they were for a spec miata, they'd be 15x7...

and Red 90teg, what do you mean by ripping tires apart? that doesn't make sense...

Anyone running 225 width tires (street or slick) on the 8"? Seems like I always see 205, but I'm guessing that's because there's better tire selection.

The post about destroying tires might be in reference to the aggressive camber, etc needed to fit the wide wheels.

Running a 205 on a 8" wide wheel is totally pointless. I'm running a 205 on a 16x7 wheel and if I could have gotten a 215 in that tire with a 40 or 45 sidewall I would have put it on the 7" wide wheel. 215 is rather an odd size for tire manufactures though and to run a 225 on an 8" wheel I am almost positive you need a +30 or less offset to clear the suspension components. But again getting a wheel an inch wider if you're not going to take advantage of a wider tire is just added weight. I think a 205 would be slightly stretched on a 8" wide wheel.

Kumho XS comes in a 215/45/16.

As for the comment about chewing up tires, id say im almost positive it was in reference to fender contact and the tires getting chewed up.
