STL Honda Civic Si EP3 almost ready....
After a lot of time having no idea what I ultimately wanted to do with this car it came upon me that I want to go faster and the ITA Integra just wasn't cutting it.
We originally built and set this car up for the SCCA STU Class and other than some testing we never actually raced it door to door.
I considered just selling it off but ultimately decided stepping it down to the STL class would be the better option.
As I type this the new STL engine is actually getting installed and we are scheduled for the dyno tonight -- so long as all goes as plans it will be running Daytona all weekend.
the big STL things we had to do were a set of custom Web Camshafts to meet the .425" valve lift rule and Fastbrakes built us a 290mm 4 Piston Wilwood brake kit.
I am sure it will take some time to get quick with it around a track but in the long term scheme of things running this has me more excited than continuing to run the ITA Integra

the stock k20 camshafts are all larger than 0.425" lift from the factory
so to be a class legal engine a smaller camshaft has to be made and run
otherwise the k20a2 engine fits the rules great (11.0:1 compression, 2.0l max size, etc, etc)

Re: STL Honda Civic Si EP3 almost ready....
I saw this for sale.
It is just so hard to sell a race car these days without taking a huge loss...but maybe it was meant to be.
Keep us updated on how it does in STL!
I actually had never heard of STL and was running my first PDX at Daytona a month ago and I just couldn't get around this Miata...we were running almost indentical lap times (me in a stock 09 civic si with street tires)...and I just couldn't understand WHY I wasn't able to pass the guy, ha ha
turns out it wasn't an ITA or SM afterall, but STL
got home and looked it up...
good luck!

@Matt Batson -- everything I own is always for sale for the right price
A quick update....car is running great and getting quicker and quicker each time out.
We took sprint race wins at the Daytona SCCA event as well as at this past weekends Sebring SCCA Event.
I am getting more comfortable in the car and to the point now where we can start making adjustments and I can tell the difference with those adjustments so the fine tuning can begin. Proof of concept with the car is there but we still have a long way to go with it.
