Default Streets of Willow, 2-21-03, $100 entry fee

www.duratecperformance.com/willow/

I don't know what kind of safety crew they have. Whether or not they have corner workers. What kind of insurance they have, etc etc etc.

All i know is, they are letting people run Streets of Willow for $100 for the day.

I went to the WSIR with them, and I'd say they did a pretty decent job considering they didn't have cornerworkers (just an on-site crew in a truck). They have rules and everyone is pretty well behaved. I'm looking forward to it very much.

Just because I didn't reply doesn't mean I'm not going... It's a fun, low speed track. I had to cancel my last event, but from communicating with those guys, they seem to be great ppl and have it really together. I'm looking forward to the event.

Small groups of 15 cars each if I'm not mistaken
It'll probably fill up fast too.

I've been to their last 2 events and I must say they keep things tidy. One thing I really like about them is they like to run a smaller limit of participants per events. This gives more track time and makes it easier for them to run a safer HPDE.

Here's some pics from the last Duratec event in December. It was damn cold, rained all night and that morning so the event was almost canceled. We stuck it out and had a great time though. I'd consider going to this event to shake down the CRX before the TCRA event on March 1st. True, they had no corner workers, and no tech inspections (!) but overall it was pretty good.

nikolas, who runs it, is a good guy (even though he drives a cougar) and the events are better imho than other track events i've attended - small groups (lots of time) and good variation of cars (lots of experienced miata drivers to chase). they do have several people there instructing as well.

don't know about insurance - willow provides a bare bones safety crew - yes, no real tech inspection. ****, it's $100.

see ya'll there.
