IRDC Racing school, Lapping and HPDE on JUNE 16TH @ THE RIDGE!

It is mid-June so if you're car isn't ready yet, you've dropped the ball. Summer is upon us and it's time to get out on track, especially a track as epic as this.

Price is dependent on what you're doing: Racing school (to get race license), HPDE, or Lapping.

Lemons Race at the Ridge this weekend!!

That might be why there's only 30 cars entered into Spokane's 24 Hour ChumpCar race this weekend.

I'm hoping to flag the ChumpCar race at the Ridge in September.

Damn, I heard the car count dropped for Spokane but thats pretty low. Our team (Socket Monkeys) is racing the sept chump race. Friday (today) is test and tune for the Ridge. A whole day to shake er down before the race. Still have to pay for the test n tune but it would be worht it. Not many Lemons drivers have the track memorized. Flagging is contracted through Kirby racing. kirbyracin@gmail.com I was doing flagging there for awhile but I got tired of watching everyone else going around the track. Just not for me.

Cool, are you racing the Chumpcar race in September at the Ridge? Its on September 15, and its a 14hr. From 0900-2300. It should be a full grid with plenty of competition.

Man, I would love to, but the actual owner of the car is out on deployment. Also, I'm taking my 81 Accord to JCCS that weekend. He is coming back in October though, and we're hoping to hit the Chumpcar race in Portland then! I'm also kind of leery of being able to prove our car is $500. We really did get it for that cheap, but trying to convince others of that is a different story. I heard ChumpCar is a bit more strict as far as judging than LeMons, having to have something like 10 printouts from sales of cars. And with most cheap cars going for crush weight, it's hard to do.

Does anybody here have any car laptimes for The Ridge? I'm just curious how well we compared to some other different types of cars with more expensive setups. We managed 2:08-2:13 across our team, I think my best is somewhere around a 2:10.

Front running ITA and Spec Pinata's will do 1:58's with 1 guy getting a 57.9

On-board with a pinata. Was a bit sick during this particular race, but was still running 00's and 01's. Fastest lap for me was a 58.5.

Rally is coming back to the Shelton/Olympia area. They are even doing a special stage at the Ridge. It will be on the road course at night. Ken Block is on the roster!! Should be good times!!

THE OLYMPUS RALLY RETURNS TO OLYMPIA

After a four-year absence, the Olympus Rally, the sixth and final round of the 2012 Rally America National Championship, will be returning to Olympia and run on stage road near Shelton. As previously noted, the rally is also moving to a new date in the fall, specifically September 21-23, 2012.

“This is huge for the Olympus Rally,” said Steve McQuaid, Olympus Rally Chairman, “The roads are of a higher quality and more technical than what we have been using. It has the perfect roads for a rally race.”
