Found this write-up on the track, which includes a track video from December http://www.onehotlap.com/2011/12/one...iew-ridge.html
And did you guys see this Rolex 24 Ridge Motorsports Park car? Pretty cool that they are sponsoring a GT car as a title sponsor Does anyone have details on it?

The Daytona bound team is Bullet Racing from Vancouver, BC. They have been active up at Mission Raceway for years. They've participated at the 24 Hrs of Daytona for the past 4 years, I actually crewed with them in 08.

Very cool! How did that go? Do you help in the garage, pits, radio? How do the rotations work with the rest of the crew members? What's the crew size - I assume ~ 30 ppl for 2 cars?

Re: Ridge Motorsports Park NW
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have recently joined the ranks of instructor/coach for The Ridge Racing School. I'm looking forward to being a part of something like this that is near and dear to my heart.
In my recent communications I received the list they are working off of and it is subject to change but.... drum roll... good news for S2000s.

The upcoming track days on March 16,17 and 18th have this caveat on qualification:
This lapping day is for experienced sport drivers and licensed racers only. You must have verifiable experience as a solo driver in a high performance driving on a paved racetrack. Go-cart, autocross, motorcycle, and off road experience do not count toward this qualification.
What about helmets?
All students are required to wear an auto racing SA 2005 or newer helmet on the track and in the Hot Pits at all times – no exceptions. Either closed face or open face helmets are acceptable. Use of a school helmet is included for new students in “The Ridge Racing School Driving Experience program. For “High Performance Driving Day” students we highly encourage you to own your own helmet. We do have a limited number that we can rent for each event as well.

Re: Ridge Motorsports Park NW
Oh it's ready. You're not competing... Engine runs? Brakes stop? Wheels go round?... You're good!
All Joking aside I know what you mean. I will be there on both days, probably 1 day as an instructor and 1 day for myself to shakedown the race car and give joy rides (instructor privilege).

Re: Ridge Motorsports Park NW
Didn't see many Hondas at all. Lots of pro 3 mafia and euro imports. Heck there was even a new fiat running at the Ridge! The Bullet Racing Porsches were running 1:40 laps and that was with other slower cars on the track to contend with. They were very fast. Good job to Collin and his CRX!!! Was your CRX the only Honda or what?

Re: Ridge Motorsports Park NW
I didn't do a Honda roll call but there is a possibility that I was the only Honda. With everything going on I actually didn't even check out any other cars (except the 911 AWD Turbo I rode in).
Hopefully we can get some more Hondas out at the track and into racing.
Here's the schedule page for Ridge Racing School:
http://ridgeracingschool.com/schedule/
If you're looking at getting a Novice Licence with Conference and doing some racing (Either renting a ride or racing your own racecar) here are some upcoming IRDC racing schools:
April 14th the IRDC has a racing school that is affordable and absolutely worth it (2 day, 1 day ground school, 1 day track day).
June 16th is another racing school/track day by IRDC at The Ridge Motorsports Park.
