Need help with SOLO2 rules interpretation... STS or DSP?
I've been running my EM2 Civic (D17 w/header, high flow cat, exhaust, intake, and RSX-S rear sway) in the DSP class for the last two local SOLO 2 events..
Now, I'd like to change to STS, if possible, to improve my overall PAX time/scores. Reading over the rules, it seems more fit for my mods than DSP (DSP is overkill for my mods)... except:
I have a Megan Racing High Flow Cat... Now, while the rules for STS mention that the header/exhaust manifold can be modified as long as oxygen sensors are retained, there's no mention of high flow catalytic converters... Both oxygen sensors, on the manifold and cat, are in their stock or within an inch or two from stock location. But am I still forced out of STS class by running the high flow cat, or is it still allowed by the rules? What's the consensus?

Re: (trhoppe)
Considering that cat added about 0.0000073 hp and probably more than doubled the NOx and other pollutant output.... not to mention bump me out of the class...
Blah, waste of money. Don't buy anything for the 7th gen Civic.
Thanks for the answer.

Re: (psychotic_z)
The guy who was in the lead for STS this year at Nationals (by a substantial stretch of time) was successfully protested and disqalified for having the wrong cat/configuration.
Its fine to arrange an agreement with your local club competitors, but if you go out of town to compete in a big event, you have to either play by the rules or risk being protested and it being upheld.
