Re: The Official Formula 1 2019 Season Thread
i only caught the first 10 minutes where they covered the hamilton floor damage and did a respectable job of explaining tyre squirt and how it hurts the diffuser and upsets the balance of the car

No way. He was talking to Toto, Hamilton, and Ocon. I realize it's unlikely but if BOT were to beat HAM to the title this year...Ocon is fucked. No? I don't see how they could remove BOT in favor of Ocon at that point.

Boullier knew McLaren-Honda would fail

Zak Brown threatens to pull McLaren out of F1
Will be interesting how the whole 2021 negotiations go. They need to fix the cars (passing/ability to follow), engines (sound/complexity/cost), and distribution of prize money.

Ferrari: Mick Schumacher debuts on the SF90 in the test in Bahrain
Although the news has not yet been made official by Maranello, Motorsport.com anticipates that Michael's son will have the opportunity to drive the Red in the tests of Sakhir on April 2, while on the second day the 20-year-old German will drive the Alfa Romeo C38.
While waiting for the official confirmations Motorsport.com has learned that on April 2, in the tests in Bahrain, Mick Schumacher will be on track with the Ferrari SF90. For Michael's son it will be his baptism in a Formula 1 car. A test with Alfa Romeo is also scheduled for the next day.
You can only define intense the period that is living Mick Schumacher. Last weekend he turned twenty, while next weekend he will be waiting for his debut in the FIA Formula 2 championship.
At the end of the weekend Mick will have a free Monday, but in reality he will spend it on the circuit of Al Sakhir, and precisely in the garage of Ferrari. What awaits him will be the work of preparation for a very special appointment: the debut in Formula 1, which will take place the next day on the Ferrari SF90.
Officially no confirmation has yet been received, but the indications (very precise) say that everything is ready for Tuesday after the GP of Bahrain: Schumacher jr. will be on track at the wheel of the 'red' for his first test ever at the wheel of a Formula 1.
An important test for Schumy jr. and for Ferrari, both for the technical evaluations and for the great emotional significance.
The entry into the Driver Academy of the Prancing Horse, which took place last winter, was a sign of the mutual desire to cooperate, with the Ferrari that sought Mick and the German son of art who did not hesitate to choose the offer of Maranello among the many arrived on his desk after the victory obtained last year in the German Formula 3 series.
The Formula 1 test was in the air, and both Ferrari and Schumacher have anticipated all taking the first available opportunity to break the ice, ie the two days of testing that will be held at the circuit of Al Sakhir the day after the Grand Prix.
After the test with the Ferrar, there will be another commitment to Mick, as on Wednesday he will be back on track but at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo C38.
Every opportunity to gain experience behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car is precious, and Alfa Romeo is the easiest option outside of Ferrari itself given the cooperation between the Swiss team and Maranello.
It is likely that the Ferrari-Alfa relay will be replicated by Schumacher during the two days of testing scheduled the day after the Spanish Grand Prix at the Catalunya circuit.

I guess if Boulliar was such a great prognosticator he saw his own firing coming up. Instead of resigning to save his image he went down with the ship like a good captain. He wants us to believe that ****? I wish he'd just shut up already. He's worse than Alonso. Hell, he's worse than Chemical Ali.
