Ah, so the new year begins. Great OP, Falcon.

Spade, good luck with your daughter. That'd be so cool to have someone so young interested in racing already. Being active with one of your own in motorsport is probably way better than sitting back and just watching F1 anyhow. F1 sucks. lol

The new BMW front wing looks terrible. But the Williams looks sexy like the past three years. I don't actually mind the rear wings at all as long as that front wing isn't like the Bimmer. :p

Now if only he has what his Uncle had... it would be amazing to see Bruno putting the Senna name back at the top. He would have my support (if he could outpace the rest).

Ayrton once was quoted saying "If you think I'm fast, wait until you see my nephew".

I certainly hope he is Brazil's next champion (Because Massa will never be).

Thanks, I've got a 5 year plan so, we'll see how things go.

Enjoy the season gents. I read earlier that the "heavier" drivers are already complaining that they're at a disadvantage with the KERS. And I quote "heavier" becuase they consider 75kg heavy.

Of all the drivers to take the field this past season, Coultard was the "heaviest" at 75kg or 165.34lb, and the lightest was Davidson (by 5kg) at 55kg or 121.25lbs.

The average weight of a 2008 Formula 1 driver = 65kg or 143.3lbs Sheesh, these guys are tiny!

Massa has a chance next year. And I highly doubt Bruno will be faster than his uncle was...at least relative to the field. I do have high hopes for Burno though, and for Honda. He'll probably take Barrichello's seat which is a shame since he never got a proper send off. Kind of reminds me of what Coulthard said at his last race - something to the effect of "I started my F1 career with Williams. It's appropriate that I end my career by being taken out by one." For RB he started his F1 career under the wing of a Senna and now he'll be replaced by one.

I had a dream the other day...I was married and had a daughter (LOL because I don't have any plans on doing that actually), and my daughter was racing in MotoGP and winning, becoming the 1st woman to do that.

And she actually looked gorgeous. Maybe she got her mom's genes LOL.

Wow im surprised how different the cars look with the new rear wings.

Hopefully the reduced downforce will add some more competition.

Checkin' in. Thanks Falcon.

Did the FIA get a hold of this forum or something and start hacking stuff off and adding KERS?

Yeah, that BMW front wing looks like it was made from a picket fence or something. It also looks like it goes beyond the wheel edge, so that car is a mutt for sure. The proportions of these new cars will definitely take some getting used to; right now they look like one of those "experiments" that you sometimes see at your local autocross.

Ok so what this article says is that ecclestone is going to change from points to medals. and the dc will be decided on how many medals a driver has.

Schu became a mod after the /26 needed one badly.

I would like for Bruninho to stay one more year on GP2, and try to find a better seat. I feel that he driving in Honda could make him "burn" his skills before of time.

Wow, aweosme to see the nUrburgring back up in the lineup. With these bare cars its going to be interesting to see just how much these new racing slicks will hold up. I wonder if the amount of times entering the pits will be heightened due to dependence on these tires?

Bridgestone would make a Compound adjustment if that became an affect on race day

This Asymetrical bodywork is interesting...

Possibly testing two versions at one time?

You looking at the sidepods and the winglets coming off of it? I think it may be an optical illusion, I think they're symmetric.

Though, it seems like asymmetric wings could make sense on a track with more right turns than left (or vice versa).

It's definitely asymmetric, look above/in-front the head vents. They run asymmetric aero all the time. For the majority of last season, the radiator inlets on the McLaren were significantly different one side to the other, which seems to be a similar case in the 09 Ferrari.

Any REAL F1 H-T fan would know that the German Gp switches from Hockenheim and the Nuanaubarubg (sp?) ring every other year. Japan is doing a 2 year rotation between the pussyfied circuit of Fuji and the real mans Susuka.

:p
