koni yellow setting
 

what are people setting their koni yellows on for autocross or track?? 99-00 si or similar vehicle. And has anybody experimented with yellows+groundcontrol?? thankyou

OTS Yellows, GC sleeves, ERS Springs with 400F/550R rates, I set mine to almost full soft up front and full stiff rear.

I've Koni yellows and Ground Controls (400lb front/300lb rear).
My front Koni's are about 1/2 to 2/3 and my rear's are about 1/3
to 1/2 of max. My tire pressure is 33psi/31psi (front/rear) measured
cold. With this, I've become much more competitive.

full stiff front, 1/2 turn off full stiff rear when i went to kansas. good enough for third, even with a "jacking down" effect on the fronts. (koni's aren't to be adjusted against the stop, as it causes the shock to still be in rebound by the time for the next bump.) however, the two guys that beat me had a mondo rear stiff setup and ran full soft up front, full stiff in rear. generally, turning the rears up a lot higher then the fronts makes the car loose at corner entry but tight on corner exit. the opposite is true, but in fwd cars isn't very noticeable. ironically, the two guys that beat me complained they couldn't get the car to turn in, while i had no problem at all.

cliff notes version: it depends on setup. if you run a really high rear roll stiffness, you have to run a soft rebound in the front. if you run a more balanced setup, you can run more front rebound to try and get more drive off a turn.

thank you for your input, it means alot. I completed the 2002 autoX season in a civicSi'99 with 46,000mile stock tires, no harness, stock brakes, koni yellas and eibach pro-kits, funny how eibach wont say the firmness of these springs, they just say 15% stiffer than stock. DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE ft/lb OF STOCK SI SPRINGS??

Yeah I also run the full stiff front, half stiff rear combo w/ H&R springs on my ITR...
I almost wish the koni's were a little stiffer...
