JGTC and Autobacs
I ventured to other forums in H-T and I found out that there is an Autobacs opening in the L.A. area.
http://www.autobacsusa.com/us_stores.php This makes sense since the JGTC wants to expand and hold more races outside of Japan. My guess will be that the Autobacs Japan GT Championships will make a stop at California Speedway in 2005. |
Re: JGTC and Autobacs (ITACivic)
its already been open. and yeah, i already speculated it would happen at California Speedway. its one of the few tracks in california large enough to take on a big event. laguna and sears are the only others, but theyre norcal.
it was proposed in the WCHC mailing list that NASA court Autobacs to be Honda Challenge sponsor. how cool would that be for Honda Challenge to be a support race when JGTC comes across the pond. |
Re: JGTC and Autobacs (ITACivic)
IMO JGTC should come to norcal since we do have 2 great tracks up here and i'm pretty sure they can handle all the fans since nascar does come to sears and the ALMS

Re: JGTC and Autobacs (ITACivic)
Drift competitions will come before JGTC or Autobacs.

autobacs actually got here before the SCCA drift competition. albeit it's just the store, and not any sponsorship money.
thing is, the store is WAAAAAAY overpriced, and the only real reason i would go there is to try out their racing seats and maybe get motul or other fluid type stuff in a pinch. some price samples: AEM Front Brake pads, ITR or BB6: $95.00 JIC Reclining Racing Seats $679.00 Redline 5w-30 motor oil: $8.50/quart Tein SS Suspension: $1000.00 everything's at list or more...but the parking lot is really fun! |
