Front Brake Lock-Up
I am posting this here because all discussions I have read on this site about prop valves and brake distribution F/R are from street-driven cars where people "test them out" on the street and talk about what "works better."
SETUP:
I have a full Integra brake conversion on my 93 DX Coupe. It has a 91 Civic EX BMC and a stock booster. It has stainless lines all around. ATE Gold DOT 4 fluid. Hawk HP Plus up front and **** pads in rear. I am running the stock prop valve. It has no ABS.
PROBLEM:
I lock up a lot. This is mostly a problem at autocross and wet track days and occasionally into hard braking zones off of long straights.
Yes, I can modulate my braking smoothly, however after about five track events this season and about 4 last season in a different car, I am starting to think that the car needs tuning along with me....not just me, as I would always assume.
I'm an intermediate driver. Not an expert.
SOLUTIONS?
I'm considering a different prop valve or possibly running HP Plus all around. All of the Honda Challenge guys I talk to run DTC60 or similar up front with crap pads in the rear.
SUGGESTIONS?

Re: Front Brake Lock-Up
You really should have the proper Integra (4 wheel disc) 40/40 prop valve. I switched my 95 hatch to 95 integra RS disc with 15/16 MC and booster years ago and was to lazzy to swap the prop valve that day. found it super easy to lock the fronts at that point. As soon as I put the prop valve in it was normal again. Super firm brake pedal and easy modulation. I have hawk HP+ allround and mainly autoslalom and small amount of time attack.
Our DelSol racecar has DTC-60 front (70 once they make them for our caliper) and DTC-30 rear. We use to run stock pads in the rear but after tring the DTC-30s on the rear, i loved how it brakes. Found with the rear having good brake pressure it was able to pull itself down along with the front. Keeps itself loaded better braking into a corner. Our track has a lot of off camber downhill corners and it only has a small amount of 1 wheel rear lock-up. not enough to even leave a mark on our hoosiers.

Yes, you need a 40/40 prop to help some of this. That will make a difference, and if it continues then evaluate your braking. You shouldn't be locking like that on Hoosiers was it?
