Formula 1 - 2007 Season

Re: (cbstd)
I think the Honda Racing F1 team could possibly be a contender in 08. I think for 07 they still have a few things to hammer out. Ferrari will definately be a force to be reckoned with as they always are. Alonso will probably keep Mclaren in the game.
I'm looking forward to an exciting season. W/o Lucky Strike,we'll see what the factory can cook up.
Go Jensy and Ruby!

no you didin't, were did you get it? All the sites that I visit have their F1 merchendise WAY overpriced, I think 100-120 for a Renault T, or something like that.
I'm so jealous, I would rock that thing every day of the week.

i konw it sounds like i'm being a honda optimist, but i think 07 is the year that they break out and move mcbenz out of the "top 3" in the current constructors hierarchy.
i think ferrari will be strong, but will go through some growing pains, and i have no idea what will happen with renault.
i think both the CC and DC are wide open, with kimi as an obvious favorite, however it remains to be seen just how effective he can be with the scuderia so used to the way ms did things. i'm not counting him out though and if i had to wager, it'd be on kimi, also since the BS-Ferrari relationship has been so close for so long, i think it's an advantage that might just mean more ferrari dominance. i dunno. i'm just an F1 no0b anyway
i'm not sure Fisi or HK will have what it takes to compete w/ ferrari. given fisi's performance this year (aka getting his *** kicked by massa most of the time) i don't know if he's really a #1 driver, or a place holder for whoever's contract is up, or the justification for ghosn to kill renault F1 in a few years?
with mcbenz sucking, because anything attached to mercedes eventually does, i think alonso will be hard pressed to repeat. i think jensen and honda will have their best chance to win a championship, esp. w/ jensen's demons exorcised and some good consistent driving throughout the second half of 06. the question is, can honda give him a truly competetive top flight car? and i think they will.
my dark horse pick is redbull, which isn't much of a dark horse--but renault engines, adrian newey, and hopefully a karmic luck rebalance for 1 mark webber, and i think they'll start making their presence felt.
my CC predictions:
1. ferrari
2. honder
3. renault
4. red bull
5. mcbenz
6. BMW
7. Williams
8. Toyoter
9. STR
10. SA
11. Spyker
and top 5 DC contenders:
1. Kimi
2. Jense
3. Massa
4. Alonso
5. webbo
i wonder if these will bejust as bad as my predictions last year :D

Re: (bad-monkey)
your putting Redbull ahead of Benz BMW and toyota? wow. They are barely better than Toro Rosso. I garuantee that they won't be up there. You think ferrari detunes engines, wait to see what renault does to theres, and in addition RBR was also on michelins. No chance in hell. Webbo will help, just not that much.

i'm banking on the newey effect.
mbz proved this season that they can't make a fast + reliable motor in this current rules environment. and toyota just sucks

I bought the first T-shirt (interesting coincidence) from their online merchandise storefront and they gave me a free hat and a nice thank you letter. Too bad their hat design sucks.
I'd really like to rock their lightweight team jacket. But even I wouldn't spend that much on a jacket I can't try on.

Ok and MS's didn't fail a few times just before the end of this season when it counted the most? I think more interestingly will be the pace difference between Massa and Kimi and will Alonso have a reliable ride.

Re: Formula 1 - 2007 Season (Spade)
Would be cool to have Bourdais at Renault. French team with French driver. Get Fizzy out of there. He hasn't done anything to make me feel he's championship material. (no disrespect to the Fizzy fans)
