Default Check Out Rosen's Honda Challenge Hybrid

Funny and potentially fast as stink.

My first nickname for it, as many of you know, is "The Draftin' Waggin"

Nice layout - was that from a magazine?

Edit: Does the Yakima (sp?) roof rack splitter give more roof downforce?

Very sweet, but I thought it was going to be B18C5 powered?

Ha ha ha ha, farking awesome!!! I can't *WAIT* to be standing inside T10 @ Summit, and see that thing come hauling *** around the outside of some wimpy ITR in a skillful pass, and be able to say:

"I remember when that car was totally stock, and automatic, and Eric just used it to get groceries and haul his dogs around!"

So totally cool... MaD propZ to da Rosen cRew yO!!!

Depends on what's been stripped - race cars don't need much in the order of comfort. I got an '89 CRX Si that weighs 1951lbs. with 70lbs. of ballast.

"The Draftin' Waggin"
Paint the whole thing white and we can refer to it as the "Milk Carton" albeit the world's fastest one.

Actually, the car will be painted white. The car was originally going to be powered by a built B18B, but we have decided to stick a Type R motor in it. So yes it will be B18C5 powered! We are looking forward to creating large air pockets directly behind the car! Actually, the car isn't as bad as it looks. From the factory, it weighs 2327. We have already taken out 200 lbs. It is only 4 inches longer and 3.5 inches taller than the hatchback. After some heavy suspension work and a few other tricks, we should be just fine I hope! See you all at the track!

Iguess Eric Beat Me To It!
Most of the text on that link were our orig. intentions.
We have now gone to a JDM ITR motor.
4 piston 11" F 11" rear brakes
and truechoice susp.
The car is 200lbs more than a 2door H/B
4in longer but not in w/b in rear overhang.
and 3.5in taller.
Yes this is a handicap, but hell its a freak'n wagon.
It should draw plenty of attention.
Glad eveyone got some laughs out of it, thats what it is about FUN!!!

Later,
Joe
Maybe we can make a contest for the best paint scheme?
We are thinking schoolbus yellow. With Emerg. Exit on the back. etc...
The milk carton is also funny.

Any other ideas?

If you do the milk carton, you better put a "Have You Seen Me?" photo on the roof!

Oh, I like that!! I really think painting it MSY (mad skills yellow [ITR phoenix yellow]) and put some type R stickers on it and a big spoiler would be tizzite!

Just remember that Karl and I have to approve the visual presentation.

Hey... It's in the rules.
We originally put that in there for completely different... ahem... reasons. But we can use it to have some fun with this one.

I'm leaning heavily towards goofing on all the nopi punks who put Type R stickers on their automatic Accord LSs. I say paint it Mad Skills Yellow with appropriately placed Type R decals, big rear wing, and a Titanium shift ****.

Then we could tell people that it's a " REAL '91 Civic Type R Wagon... JDM Market model... you couldn't get one in the States"
Any bets on how many people would believe it?

So I just ordered my Wings West body kit. You don't see any problem with that right? I figure the kit alone will put me into the 2:11 range around VIR . . .

Just make sure you get a REALLY BIG wing. The biggest one you can find. It won't slow you down on the straights... trust me.

I was actually going to order 2 wings and stack them. I figure if one is good 2 must be better right?

Just make sure you add more pressure to the rear tires due to the extra downforce.
