But Ryan's right. Nopi is usually cheaper after Colletti overcharges on shipping.

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (SPiFF)
The title of this got me thinking (in terms of IT class legality). Technically, if the part isn't manufactured by the OEM manufacturer, it would be a no-no - even if it is the "same specification" as the OEM part. Are the Brembo parts listed in the Honda books as a replacement for the stock P/N?

the rules have to be able to bend to incorporate these parts. do they expect everyone to buy every single bolt from honda and pay an arm and a leg?

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (Vitt1)
Rotors and pads are "free" according to the GCR. What you cannot do is change the rotor or caliper size or type. Read the "spec lne" in ITCS for your particular car and that is what you are allowed. Personally, I would not use any rotor that is other than OEM in design as there is no real advantage (IMO).
As to the comment about "generic" rotors-Brembo Blanks are the same as the stock ones in appearance. I have a pair for my Civic and they look identical to stock and came in Brembo boxes. BTW: IF you did not get real Brembo rotors from Summit-they will take them back.

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (Crosser)
For anybody who lives in the McKeesport (Pittsburgh) area, Matta Motors stocks OEM Brembo rotors for a decent price. They'll also ship . . .

Not much for the auto-x side. We will be there with the CRX sorting it out with NASA. My SCCA school days are also approaching. I'll be in touch with Matta now that I have the link. Have you ever done business with STATE tire? Drop me an e-mail if you want to.

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (jc836)
Actually the Brembo OE Blanks are a tad different (and BETTER IMO)
The cooling vanes actually continue inward to the hub, farther than OEM.

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (Knestis)
I got a pair of Brembo blanks real cheap ($19ea? ) from KVR, who happened to have a distributor near me. I think they have ads in the back of most of the magazines selling slotted rotors.

Here we are again . The rotors and pads are unrestricted-true. My point is that they are to be of the same size and type (material) as the production parts. I have no reason to think that someone is going to get super picky on this unless it is very obvious. Also, we are restricted on the size due to the spec line for rotor diameter and wheel sizing in IT.

Re: Brembo OEM rotors (jc836)
Just being the Rules NERD (or "rat-bastard") again but.... Nope. Nowhere is there a provision for anything but the stock rotors - restriction on "same size and type (material)" or otherwise. Show me different and I'll crawl back into my rat-bastard hole...
Otherwise, I agree with everything you say!

OK-you are safe on TOP of the rock . My misinterpretation of 6b on ITCS P15. It has been my understanding, now appears wrong, that one can use a rotor of the same material (cast iron) so long as it conforms to the stock spec's. I seriously doubt that anyone will measure the vanes inside of a Brembo blank. Weight might be the issue tho. I am certain, having now read the rule, that a rotor that is drilled or slotted will NOT be allowed. Now we can move on to cryotreatment-as there is no provision in IT for that either. Actually the base GCR rule has no provision for anything but a genuine OEM rotor that can be machined solely for the purpose of truing it. Thanks for your insight.
