New 2017 Honda Civic Si Sedan Turbo (FC1) hits the track on Hoosier slicks! [VIDEO]
Hey everyone,
I am a driving instructor and time attack competitor. My friend brought his brand new 2017 Honda Civic Si Sedan (FC1) turbo to the track the other day for some shake-down laps. The car was completely stock down to the all-season tires. After that session, I lent him my competition wheels/tires (TR Motorsports FF10 17x9 +35 from tirerack with 245/40/17 Hoosier R7 tires). Surprisingly there was no rubbing and fitment was good. He hit the track with the new tires and I followed behind him in my time attack prepped Mazda RX-8.
I have also driven the car. It is loads of fun and really feels like a great package! The driver commented that the car felt really good on track. The rotors scored pretty badly and higher temperature pads are needed, but other than that there were no hiccups.
