I’d swap in a DC2 Integra ABS system, meant for fwd, before going the bmw route. I don’t know well the BMW system would respond to a rear wheel dangling in the air.

although the mk60 comes out of a bmw, there is one version that is flashable to the bosch motorsports software. it shouldnt be too difficult an install

I would definitely try a DC2 system rather than putting a stock DA9 system back in. The older, DA9 system is not that great as it was basically an 1st gen ABS.
