Looking for a really light fixed seat, suggestions?
EG8, before the kirkey seat is mentioned that requires custom rails, even tho it's super light. So pls keep the suggestions to seats that can fit on my Buddy club rails, and no "blinders" i'll need to see my blind spots.
I've always been a BIG fan of the dc2 recaro seats, for my previous cars but they're actually really heavy and I only need one this year.
I'm a 34 waist, kinda short(5-9''), maybe a big "34 waist".

Was looking at the Buddy club p1 limited edition or the "racing spec bucket seat(FRP)", the race spec seat is 10lbs and the other 11. Price wise the race spec seat is considerably cheap at $395 USD vs $520 USD, I'd like to stay at, or 1-2 lbs over 10 lbs. Any input or is 10lb as light as i'm getting? those expensive spoon seats are 5.7 kg (12.5) so i'm assuming I cant really get under 10/11 lbs. Also would I need the wide version? as said, I'm roughly a 34 waist or could I get away with the regular version. I can go and try the seat. but it's a 2hr drive to the vendor I go to.

You really need to find a place that has these seats in stock so you can sit in them. The fitment of fixed back seats can vary widely, even within the same brand. If there isn't a dealer that has them in stock, you might try to find someone locally that has them and will let you sit in them.
Also, you said you wanted it to work with your Buddy Club rails, with the majority of the fixed back seats you are also going to need side mount brackets to fit the seat to your rails, not just the seat rails.

Is this seat for HPDE only or are you wanting to do any road racing or TT? If you want to do the latter at any point you should be looking at FIA certified seats only. It doesn't look like the buddy club seats are FIA certified.

Mainly HPDE, in the sense of, it's a rolroll-racer that has to see a bit of street time. No FIA cert required, but I didn't even think of that. Good point.

That being said, you can get quality seats near that budget, but they won't be the lightest. OMP First R or Champ R are good options. I have the Champ R ($650sh) and they are great, but only slightly lighter than stock seats once connected to PCI brackets.

The weight of a seat is largely based on the materials used to make it. Any seat in the price range you're looking at will be made of fiberglass with Gelcoat on the back. So they will all be roughly the same weight.
Cobra uses Kevlar in all of their seat which saves a little weight but not much. they start around $700. After that, you have to jump up to a full carbon seat to see any considerable weight savings.
The weight differences of a fiberglass seat really wont make a noticeable difference to anything in the car. Personally I'd say buy the seat that fits you the best and is the most comfortable.

Re: Looking for a really light fixed seat, suggestions?
as others have stated, probably not very light, but another excellent value:
Bimarco Expert (now offered as the expert 2)
BIMARCO - sport seats and racing shells manufacturer - FIA homologation
fixed back, fiberglass w nice gelcoat. one of the least expensive real FIA cert. seats you can get. i bought a pair back in 2013 (?) for about $700 shipped to USA. from poland. simple velour kinda fabric, removable seat and back pads.
ill have to go out to the garage and weigh one, if you're curious.
