125k DC2... by Foss Tech
Have you guys heard of these Integra's before? Recently @ NASA Thunderhill in the 1st WCHC race I took a close look at Tom Lepper's DC2. It is very very trick. I have a bunch of pix I will upload shortly. Supposely they went for like 125k new back in 1998, and some 30+ cars were built... Anyone have more info?
This particular car was ran in WC by previous owner for a year or two. It crashed and sustained heavy damage at one point, but of course has been fixed since...

Foss Tech is owned by James Thompson's (BTCC racer) father I think.

Sorry if this is an ignorant question but what's the deal with these springs?
Very boss car though... easily the nicest interior I've ever seen too.

they are helper springs which just takes up the slack and keep the springs aligned when the suspension unloads. this is different than a tender spring setup which actually has some rates and affects the handling. see also:

I thought I recognized that car, and after seeing the fuel cell and brake setup I am even more sure I have seen that car.
I am 99% sure that car ran USTCC in Portland in April of '02. I will have to check the pictures I took at that event.
And, yes... it is one of the most "trick" cars I have seen at this level of racing.

I spent the better part of ten minutes staring at this car in awe, then I saw the 'air jacks' ala f1 and just laughed.
I want air jacks.

The attention to detail is pretty amazing, and I especially like all the carbon bits. The interior is amazing. Dont know if I would drop 125K, though. For that price, would they top off the brake MC?? http://ghettoracer.com/cars/fo...5.htm

Why? If the pads are worn down, it's only going to spill out all over once the pistons are pressed back in. Mine's low, too.

yah, i know you were overwhelmed!! i know how tough it is meeting tons of ppl and trying to connect faces to names and all. thanks for the free shirts.
i failed to take your car out tho ! hahaha... had i knew the car was gonna be there, should've arranged it with you and A&J ahead of time. :-) but i did manage to get a ride while Blake took it out. do you know what spring rates are on the car?!

I only saw it when Tom came up side by side to me after qualify and gave me the thumb up. I saw it in the race when he blasted by.
