"Black Racing" Watanabe copies?
A guy I know is selling some 4X100, 14"X6" "BR" wheels that look just like watanabe 8 spoke "Banana" rims. Anyone heard of them? They feel pretty light even w/tires on. Are they good rims? What would be a decent price for them? They come with Bridgestone Potenza RE88 tires in good condition. Maybe he'll let me post some pics. Any info. would be good. thanks guys!

If they fit your needs as far as size/weight/cost then I see no reason not to buy them.
Unless they are under 9 or 10lbs each there shouldn't be any reason to pay much for them.
For reference here's a set on ebay for corollas and such for only $200.
Ooops, forgot the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...43954

ive seen em, didnt look like there were any problems. they looked exactly like panasports from my memory. i think there was a set sold on ebay or wheelchoice recently. i wouldnt have any problems with buying them if you really wanted them.
what does this have to do with RR/AX?

Re: "Black Racing" Watanabe copies? (B HATCH)
just picked up 2 from a friend for 60 bux , unfortunately they are really hard to find in the 4x100 pattern and i have been searching for two more all over but no luck. heres the specs on the wheel
14x6
4x100
40 offset
they indeed are very lite. they are no more than 10 lbs each, but i put some heavy 195/60/14 azenis on weighing in at 20lbs. each on my bathroom scale.
when holding the blackracing/azenis combo in one hand and my 15" slipstream/avses100 combo in the other, they felt almost exactly the same weight.
i love the style of the wheel, and plan on snatching up two more as soon as i find them.

I wouldn't be a bit suprised if the black racing wheels and watanabe wheels were made by the same factory.
