Three Tone Paint Job Advice Needed

On our truck we are going to paint it soon. The plan was the classic two tone red and white, but in the middle it will have some blue to break it up. I have a few questions about multiple color paint jobs (I've only done single colors):

(Note: the top color is red, middle is blue, and the bottom is white. these are basic colors, not pearls or metallics)

-Should I work from top to bottom or start with a particular color first?

-Do I allow the paint to "overlap" and then mask it off for the next section? If so, how much overlap is necessary?

-Should I apply the color in all three sections, then scuff it all before putting clear over everything?

Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

top to bottom
I like a little feathered edge, that way you don't end up chancing two hardedges.
if you do it in a correct manner you can just go right to clear. There should be a time limit on the info page telling you how long.

Okay, that sounds good.

The paint says after 18 hours the surface must be sanded before applying another coat or clear. It also says that they recommend at least 4 hours (up to 8 hours) before any masking is done on the paint. So for me to do 3 colors in 18 hours it's kind of pushing it. Is this what you meant by time limit?

Also, I have a garage and not a paint booth so the temperature in the garage is the temperature for application and drying.
