How do I fix this? eg civic.
I recently got into a little accident. Frames fine only sheet metal got damaged (fender, hood). This part on my car also got a wrinkle in it I'm going to try my best at fixing it but if I can't get it perfect is there a way I can order a new piece and just weld it in? Were can I get a new piece? junkyard? or is there a website I can order it from. Note: this is not my car but damages are outlined in pic damage does not go past seam sealer or frame rail. Weak!EG I can take these pics down upon request.

No I'm for sure that it can be removed and replaced, theres seam sealer on both of its edges and its just spot welded in. Its just sheet metal and doesn't affect the body's geometry. I just need to know were to find one before I go junkyard hopping to find a civic. I can just slap my fender on but I don't want it to look half *** either.

It's called a left fender apron cause it is on the left side of the car. I do not believe they make aftermarket apron's. You can try but I would get it through HONDA. Might cost a bit though. You can try one from a junk yard. They would just cut that whole area out and you would have to cut it off the donor.

i know in canada you can get the apron and it in not too expensive. it is very easy to change, just remove the seam sealer and drill the spot welds out

Re: (powerflow)
Oh cool thanks, 80$ is a bit steep I think I'm just going to go to a junkyard with a saws all and cut one off a bit further then the spot welds and do all the drilling at home. Might be a little too much to ask but do you guys know if its the same on a sedan and a coupe? One more question is it possible to re-weld it on with a mig? welder (type of welder that wire is automatically fed threw the tip of the gun)? Thanks for all the help guys.

If your going to use "Flux core" make sure you set the amp on really low. Or else your just going to make a hole right through the thing.

I have that kind of damage in my hatch, but it goes all the way down into the frame rail... could you just cut it from the top all the way to the bottom of the frame rail and put a new chunk in??

You would have to post up some pics. Most of the time if you are going to have to cut a rail out of a car and weld a new one in, it is not even worth it.
You would need to pull the car on a frame machine to get it to were it needs to be first. Then you would section the rail according to manufacturers sectioning procedures for your specific car. You also have to account for the fact that you need to remove the motor to do this. Makes life much easier.
I suggest you get a new car if it is really bad.

yeah for sure its replaceable... i'd get professional help be4 i replace anything cuz you needa make sure the rest of the enginebay is in alignment... i cant tell too surely by the pictures... but it looks like a pull would do the job. baby not a replacement... and just to let you know its "geometry" does affect the car... its not just there for kicks n giggles lol

This is your lucky day. I have both sides cut from the shock towers. I still have them after removing the core support on a front end repair I did a while back on a coupe. Here they are. Also if anyone needs prelude one's I have that too for a 97-01.
