Help! Bodykit removal/cut fender problem. (99 ex)
So I have a 99 civic ex with a healthy motor and trans, coilovers and other mods. The car was given to me for free and I'm looking for advice/opinions on what to do.
The bodykit in the rear(sorry no pictures) is cracking and looks terrible, and I can imagine it would just get worse. There is body filler foam and it is bondo on. I want to take the body kit off but the fenders are cut(idiotic thing whoever the previous owner did to fit bigger wheels -.-)
Now how could I go about fixing this? I have a lot of spare time, and a low budget. I know replacement fenders exist for the rear, but I don't know how much that would cost to get welded on properly and not paint matched.
My other idea was to find a shell (I have people that can help me find them cheap) and swap the motor into that(have a mechanic that would help me). I'm leaning more towards swapping it into a shell; preferably another 99 ex. And I could also take the other parts (coils, certain interior parts, steering wheel, seats) from the car I currently have and put it in a fresh shell.
What would be the better option to this for a budget? I have no time restraint, and I am in no rush to have the car going(cant drive currently anyways.

Pictures of the car car?
From the sound of it, looks like new 1/4 panels need to be put on.
Take in price of 2 panels, cost of replacement, and paint, it will be cheaper to swap the engine to another shell.
Then try to sell the old shell if you can, if not, scrap it.
