EF Sedan Just Painted

1 Attachment(s)
I just got my sedan painted and i would like some advice. the paint used was acrylic enamel, no clear coat. one coat of primer, and 2 base coats.

there is orange peel in some areas and the paint overall needs to be smoothed out. there is some refelctive properties to the paint but kind of blurred due to the orange peel and the "roughness" of the paint.

what would be my best choice to smooth this thing out? without going to deep of course, and how long should i wait?

Yikes....I would search around on Autopia.org and see what would be the best type of pad and compound to use to smooth out that paint without removing very much.

uhh. i dont think you want to buff the paint directly. buffing it will eat the paint up.

If you wetsand you have no choice to buff afterwards. Since theres only 2 thin coats of color i would be very careful not to burn through. This is why I never suggest single stage. Less room for error.

true. I guess i didn't realize there were only 2 coats. When you wetsand you knock all of the shine off. Then use an orbital buffer + polishing compound to bring it back. I would recommend a few more coats though.
