My 1990 Honda Civic DX Hatchback has a driver side door problem. Every time I open the door it has trouble and swings like it's not being held in place. I don't know what the part could be called or where to find it. Can anyone help me? Please?

Replace the "DETENT ROD" of the driver door. This part helps the door to stay at two positions 1. half way 2. full open
If you also hear a loud click sound when opening the door, replace the lock pin.
