Re: "Terminator"/Cobra Thread
ok now a mustang thread I can get into.....and umm you can take a bone stock termi add a helion twin turbo kit put down 1000+ hp on stock block and have twin turbos and supercharger the best block for the mustangs would be the 96-98 cobra which is a teksis block made by a ferrari manufacter in italy which can handle 1500hp stock block and crank but they cheaped out on the rods and pistons back then so you have to replace those to make power past 550hp i personaly just bought this 02si from a co-worker about 2 weeks ago so i'm trying something new and trying to expand my knowledge but I still own a 97 cobra with fully built suspension and some motor work but i'm selling it and going into the fwd honda world to try new things....plus i'm a honda tech and it's hard working at a dealership driving a cobra I destroy all the cars there drag and corners and I hear *clap clap aren't your proud you beat a honda I say I don't wanna race *oh your a ***** it's only a honda I get beat by a honda.....lol that don't happen

Re: "Terminator"/Cobra Thread
maximummotorsports has over 250-300 passes on there 1500hp cobra without rebuild and it's still running fine.....but either way 1500hp itsn't going to be a fun, safe, good daily driver either neither would 1000hp car it's just to much power you would have to run et street tires or comparable which only get 5-10k miles before needing a set and that's if you drive nice a good all around power if you have a termi to me would be do a full exhaust intake pullies and you can just port the stock blower or drop a kennie bell on it and you'll have more power then you need....I'm not sure of everything this guy had but he was on stock blower and cams and dyno'd 650whp and he whitesmoked the dyno he had to go put slicks on just to grip to get a solid number and he ran 6.9 in the 1/8 which is about a mid to high 10 and he daily drove it and theres another buddy of mine big single pushing 1100whp and he doesn't quite daily drive it but he does drive it to work 2-3 times a week

Re: "Terminator"/Cobra Thread
my goal was going to be 500whp but i have to rebuild the block to get rid of those junk rods, and pistons and then i would want to do the only suspension stuff i dont' have and replace the k-member and front lca which are about 1k there plus build the motor and to get it 500whp na would cost more money so then throw a small centri supercharger so i'm looking at about 10k to build it the way I want that's one reason I went to a honda it's cheaper fwd something new to learn

Re: "Terminator"/Cobra Thread
Yes all the 4.6l cobras are dohc all the gt's are sohc...if your planning on building one I would go to maximummotorsports.com they have everything you need suspension wise and if you have a termi and want to take corners I would just do pulley swap exhaust and tune and that's all the power you need.....just remember theres always someone faster and better as much as I hate to admit this my old neighbor has a ****ing fit with suspension and on the tight courses he has beat me with that little nible car but he's been to driving school and national events he got in my car and was 2nds faster then me and he's a honda fwd guy so doesn't have much expereince in rwd but he kicked my *** in my own car...and just to get a hint of me when i started autocrossing my first 3 months i placed 10th 8th and 7th so i'm no bum but he knows his **** power means nothing on autocross event

yeah, the 03-04 cobra shortblock has proven multiple times it can take 1000hp or more.
from the factory its all forged and aftermarket sourced parts. very nice.

Re: "Terminator"/Cobra Thread
my cousin 2004 makes about 450-460whp in 2010 and on bit over 520whp with a small shot. His buddy has a singal turbo 2003 makes over 600 hp for about 3 years now more on race gas. It depends how you tune it drive etc. I did race my cousin with out spray and spank him in my stock 06 E55. Great cars Cobras are
